    As a mixed person, I'm saying he isn't black. Your logic is false. Not all people from Africa are black, so being an African American doesn't mean you're automatically black. My father's from Guyana, where you'll find brown and black people. This doesn't mean I'm automatically black. This doesn't mean I'm brown, either, which you could argue with your logic.

    The general experience, from what I've seen, is that you choose a side: you're either one or the other, and usually you're the one you look like. He chose African American culture. He can't choose to be black because he simply isn't.
