Our legion's name is Natural Selection. We have a pretty even spread of classes right now, and even if we didn't, I would ask you to play whatever you wanted to, not what you feel obligated to play. are chanters worth a damn as healers?
how much work is buffing people as a chanter? i'm not going to be casting single-target buffs on everyone every like ten goddamn minutes like a wow paladin, am i? that would kill it for me, right there.
First of all, I've had to main heal groups as a chanter, and I do very well. You don't heal as great as a cleric, but you still get the job done.
Buffing people as a chanter is easy: your buffs are insta-cast, and you get mantras, which are similar to a WoW Paladin's auras, except that you can have three active at one time. Also, like the old-school EQ bards, you can "twist" these auras so that every single one of them are active.

I've noticed the exact opposite. The game is stunning to look at, the zone are brilliant, and the monsters are literally made from nightmares.
The issues are with all the details to monsters or your character having unique waiting animations depending on the zone you're in (hot, cold, rainy, bright, dark, etc), NC Soft then made the worst system possible for setting up guilds and the economy must have been designed by rabid monkeys. It's like they blew their load making sure that fire golem looked just right with flaming blades coming off its forearms and rivers of lava moving over its skin to think that perhaps having more then 3 ranks in a guild would help people set things up in regards to the bank, money, and such.
The guild and economy system are easy things to fix in patches.
Textures and animations not as much
Then they half ass guild banks and have a case sensitive search system in the auction house for no reason. It's just odd to see them strike out on little things that have been done well in the past, even in their own games, while getting huge floating islands full of eye ball monsters right.
