I am not fond of cigars, though I will admit that I enjoy a Macanudo once in a blue moon

also, yeah, a lot of douchebags smoke hookah, but hookahs are so cheap and it's so nice to be able to smoke inside your house that might as well just buy one.
Hookahs are more fun than cigars for three reasons:
1) The tobacco is soaked in flavored molasses, not just flavored on its own. So it's delicious and it sits different.
2) You can smoke inside and it smells FANTASTIC. Not like "man these cigarettes smell good to me, a smoker" - I used to smoke hookah when my dad was out of town and he would come home and be like "holy shit this place smells delicious what did you do"
3) It generates more smoke than other forms of smoking, so it's awesome for blowing smoke rings. Also, if you talk just after drawing the smoke in you sound like James Earl Jones underwater.
Also it's my favorite kind of social activity. You're sharing something, but there's no reason to be competitive because there's easily enough for everyone. You're doing something with your mouth and hands, but it doesn't demand attention or get in the way of conversation. Hookah can lead into a great conversation, but no one is ever going to be like "what are you guys talking about, we need to get back on the topic of hookah."

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to smoke grass here than darts. I stopped doing both long long ago, though, so the economics of it are lost to me.
