New Graphics Card, Screen Kinda Fuzzy

Installed a new 4890 today and my screen seems to have developed a weird kind of fuzzy text. It's like theres a greyish copy of the character just to the right of the original. Its not noticable at all in game, but kind of distracting when reading anything.

I've installed the latest drivers but nothing seems to have changed.

The only thing I can think it may be is that Im running a VGA input for my monitor (cheap thing, only VGA input) but this has to be adapted to DVI for the card. Didn't seem to have this problem with my old card though.

I think you just found your culprit. Spring for an LCD monitor with a DVI input. They're not expensive in the least anymore.

It's entirely possible he just got a bum DVI-VGA adaptor, or it's getting interference like mad.

Do you have another one you can try, or a new VGA cable (if it detaches from the monitor?)

Looking for a DX:HR OnLive code for my kid brother.

Does your monitor have an "auto-adjust" button/menu option? If so, use it.

Switched the VGA cable over and its fine now.

Dunno why it would have changed between cards but meh, guess this can be locked :)

Also besides the shitty input, the screen is pretty nice, 23" and 1920x1080 for £120 and performs as well as higher level ones. Dunno for how long, but fine now :P
