I played it. He shoots you if you don't put your hands up, or if you insult him in conversation, or, maybe, if you try to jump him and fuck it up.

I really enjoyed PQ for a while, but it just didn't stay fun

Puzzle Quest kind of fizzled out because the gameplay didn't evolve like at all.
The fifth battle might as well been the fiftieth.

you can learn additional abilities and switch them out
but they just didn't change the gameplay sufficiently and it gets incredibly annoying losing so often just because the computer got a chain of lucky breaks that buried you again

Just for one game? I mean Heavy Rain looks cool and all but the PS3 has a chunk of awesome exclusives, not to mention that, being the better system and no longer being grossly overpriced, it's gonna start having better ports. Apparently, starting with Ninja Gaiden 2 --> Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
I have Farenheit on Metaboli but never got round to playing it. Honestly Heavy Rain looks pretty boring to me but I'll give it's predecessor a shot and see.
