His issues are much more subtle. His comic relief behavior comes from a mixture of being the "youngest" brother, and being notably less intelligent than average. Raph knows he's a badass at the end of the day, and is the Turtle who has actually gotten LAID. Leo has his leadership skills and his pursuit of honor. Don is a goddamned super genius. What does Mike have? He can get people to laugh at his stupidity.

they would do an episode in the cartoon from time to time where mikey has to act more mature or w/e. And it's kind of touched on in the movies (although not the animated one really.)

Really, taking TMNT seriously, they all live an incredibly sad existence. Which the first movie was pretty good at displaying.

it's like, "there seems to be a decently written movie in here somewhere, trying desperately to escape"

Given the subject matter and the limitations of the intended audience, they did pretty much the best that could be done.

If they had made it any better it would have been MUCH more expensive (better actors), would lack the moral of the story (no silly kid gangs), and would overall be R-rated.

i liked the movies, but the teeth always bugged me for some reason. i felt they should have been one solid tooth, not many individual teeth. weird complaint i know, but they look better that way

I would have to watch it again to figure out exactly what I thought was bad, but mostly I remember thinking every scene with shredder was really silly. He came out look less sinister than hilarious

super shredder was pretty bad ass in the second one, he was the only time he really seemed like a threat

TMNT was my franchise when I was a kid. I remember exactly where I got to play the original arcade game, which was like some kind of awesome box that only a wizard or God could've made, and I didn't get to go there too often so it was always like Christmas. It should be noted that I am now a 30 year old married man and every time I get to Shredder in ReShelled, my heart is beating like a drum. It's one thing for the TMNT to fight Shredder in the cartoon, but to get to him in the arcade games? A feat of strength. Also, magic.

Also, they've kind of countered Mikey being the funny one with him also being the most naturally agile and athletic. He's the one that really doesn't have to train too much to be awesome, and he's not aware of it.

I have the whole run of the short-lived, non-canon Image comic series, and they do some fucked up shit to the Turtles. Leonardo gets a hand sliced off, Raph loses an eye, Donatello gets turned into a turtle cyborg. Crazy.

Raph was always my favorite turtle, no question. Whenever me and my brother fired up Hyperstone Heist for the Genesis, I always picked Raph.

I think this franchise might also be a major reason why pizza is my favorite food.

This was the case with the old old school comics too. And the Palladium RPG. Mikey had like 27 in PP, with Leo and Raph next at 20 or so apiece.

Man, I fucking loved TMNT back in the day. Every weekday afternoon I'd watch the cartoon. I had a shitload of the toys (all four Turtles, Splinter, Shredder, Rat King, Miyamato Usagi (best rabbit samurai ever), etc.), several of the video games, watched all three live action movies. I read the Archie comics (which were surprisingly not bad), and even obtained a couple of the old black and white comics.

My favorite Turtle used to be Raphael, but that was based on him being the sarcastic guy in the cartoon. Knowing what his legit personality is, I'd probably choose Donatello today.

Contacting the game company that holds the license and asking them to review it?
