Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

More like Faggle Creek

Saddle Creek is an Omaha, Nebraska record label founded in 1993 by brothers Conor and Justin Oberst. A driving force of the Omaha music scene (and often drawing from more diverse localities), Saddle Creek has been the label of choice for indie starlets like Conor Oberst, Tim Kasher, Sebastian Granger, Maria Taylor, and Todd Fink. Many of these bands are known for ample use of the acoustic guitar and melancholic vocals with a bit of a folksy country twang.

As you've probably deciphered, Saddle Creek is one of my favorite record labels, and they've played host to a lot of very decent bands. Here's something of a youtube sampler:

I'm currently listening to Orenda Fink's new album, Ask the Night. It's very good! This is a song from it, with accompanying vocals from Isaac Brock, of Modest Mouse fame.

So, do you happen to enjoy any of these artists? Are there any other record labels that you can get similarly nerdy about?
