i was a little surprised yyys didn't make it to the top 10 on p4k
The album just feels entirely forgettable to me. I listened to it five or six times over a period of two days and the only song I can remember is Summertime Clothes. I just didn't hear or feel anything standout about it.
What album I was pleased to see on their list was Cymbals Eat Guitars' Why There Are Mountains because that album is boss as fuck. Hands down one of my favorites of the year.
wild beasts is really good too
So hard.

the same for Woods and Antony
I can't get past the vocals on the Wild Beasts album.
the rest I just haven't listened to or given enough time to create an opinion on yet
I'm kind of surprised not to see Taken by Trees - East of Eden on the list anywhere
I may get on that.
I'm not even sure what type of music it is.
I suppose we will see.

well except said the gramophone's
i don't see why you would like the falsetto on passion pit and not like it on wild beasts, but diff'rent strokes i guess
let your love grow tall and seaweed song are much better wintermusics than i would have thought
and man i don't know what it is but for some reason i just do not find cymbals eat guitars interesting at all
No love for And The Hazy Sea? Too bad. To each his own, though.
i'm actually listening to why there are mountains right now to give it another chance
i'm liking it more this time around, i guess i was just expecting to be a bit more wowed due to the universal praise it got
she's pretty cute
I dunno
I'll give it another shot
compensating for something?
My secret shame.
I love them dearly
here is a video for you to digest

Romance is Boring?
Also iTunes "genius" keeps putting Radiohead and Killers songs into this "indie" playlist.
edit: though it does keep throwing up white rabbits, so it's not all misguided
you might say that
well, the year end lists are mostly very current. if you're not keeping up with indie released in the last year or so, it's not going to be very familiar. especially since the indie blogosphere culture means that anyone who isn't constantly putting out music is entirely forgotten and may as well have never existed.
there's a bunch of good tracks on that list though, it's worth going through it and seeing what you like

This made me laugh.
Alts who don’t “get” Hipster Runoff.
lmao.
I feel so conflicted
Tegan and Sara Appreciation Station | LOOKS GOOD! | Fancy Cat Moustache! :{3
i loved that one though
the rest seem to rely too heavily on 'lol indie people' and split the clichés up however they felt like it
like to me the xx is not keffiyeh music
vampire weekend is TOTAL keffiyeh music
i also laughed at the joanna newsom 'befriending a squirrel' one though because that is totally true
Haha, this one made me drop my shit... it's kinda true.
Ok, pretty true.
