WoW is full of little things that'll make you giggle as you stumble upon them. In the expansion there's a quest to get a magical sword named 'Stung.'

The scrolls of icarian flight and the boots of blinding speed (pure awesome with the cuirass of saviours hide).

I remember the old Sierra games had references to each other. Like in Space Quest 1 if you press the button in the escape shuttle you go to a planet and crash into a moat of a castle like from King's Quest. Not sure if that's an Easter Egg or just a clever way to let to player die though.

Man, I never actually beat Zelda II. I got about halfway through the final castle, but never all the way. I think it's because I haven't played it since I was 12, which was before I learned how to analyze game-mechanics and exploit them.
