    i have this random inkling to search usergroups and i find all these crazy new ones.

    It's not that hard to figure out what it is.

    It's a designated group of people for each forum that will be allowed to make polls. I dunno if that means they can make polls in pre-existing threads, but possibly...

    No. Assuming they're just using the admin panel to implement this instead of hacking the shit out of phpBB, they'll only be able to poll threads where they can make or edit the first post.

    I doubt the poll masters will be given the ability to edit everyone's posts, but you never know

    Trust me, there is no way it would work in this place. Every second thread would be a poll. Polls don't get auto pruned so it would just get realy annoying.

    I seriously hope that there aren't too many "poll masters."
    I've been on forums where polling runs rampant and it destroys the flow of the forum.
