Tough to say
I've watched it so long that I've become familiar with the characters and I am comfortable with the world they inhabit; the mythos they've invented for the show, though convoluted and bizarre, is something I find really cool
I think there are quite a few instances of really great acting and writing, though of course like any show there are occurrences of really terrible things as well
Also, it's one of the few shows that comes to mind where I literally do not know what is coming next most of the time; too many shows get kinda predictable now, and Lost really keeps me on my toes (though admittedly, at the expense of sometimes having an event that won't make any sense for another half a season)
I don't know, it's weird as hell but I can't stop watching
edit: this is not at all saying it's my favorite show of all time but just my favorite one running right now

I think you're the first person to give me a straightforward reply. Of all my friends that watch the show religiously, they can't explain why they watch it.

I like Fringe though
It's pretty standard fare these days that any show that does well in it's first season get's shit on in it's next season because I guess that's what the kids are up to these days.

people who hate lost tend to have really entrenched opinions based on watching an episode or two, or at most having seen the first season and a half or so. i understand having no interest in the show, but the hatred based on very little exposure to the show i've always found really weird.

Too bad.
It's ratings have dropped because they moved it from a prime Tuesday night at 9pm slot to the massively overloaded Thursday night where it's going up against basically the biggest shows from every other network.
how you can list terrible networks and not include NBC is completely baffling to me
and yeah, there's a style that every ABC show seems to have that I'm not a huge fan of, but lost kind of seems apart from that rule somehow
Fringe is pretty goddamn fantastic.
although I mostly just watch the NBC comedies, I guess, minus 30 rock
well nbc has 30 rock and conan so that's two things going for it
surprisingly i think fox pretty much has the best network title right now
which shocks me
then again all they have that i watch is glee and house
