This is an excellent question, if you have never before played Mario Kart (which I assume, since you needed to ask). The Blue Shell is a vile, repugnant tool of evil. Everything it touches is turned to its own malign purpose. Sure it may help you win, but at what cost? At what cost?

For this reason I intend to trash any blue shells I receive. I urge you all to do likewise.
