The prestige challenges are all 500, not really normalized for other weapons, hehe.
Scrambler with a riot shield is glorious.
Not as many good sniping points so general populace can't camp as much not to mention grenade spammed has been toned down a bit.

This is my problem when I play by myself. The game notices the 32-2 ratio, and sticks me on the team with the guys that go 2-20 and we lose. It blows ass.

So, I've just unlocked the acog scope, right? And holy balls, this thing is wonderful. I'm tearing up sub base. We're about to win. There's a guy right behind me. He turns into a door, and gets shot. I whip out my pistol, turn around, and get ready to shoot his assassin. So this guy turns into the door, and I shoot him. Game winning kill!

It's not realistic. At all. But it's fun as shit and I love it to death.
Don't think I'm ever going to prestige, that's an absurd amount of time.
I made the mistake. It does get a bit boring at 70, but don't prestige for the love of god. You won't be able to shoot down killstreaks until 30, and it's just like... Ugh. Don't.
Well...I think that is still preferable to walking up behind them while they're looking through a scope, waiting a few seconds just because you can, then making swiss cheese out of them.
I made up my mind that this time I was going to prestige all the way as opposed to 2 times I did it in the first one. The only part that seems hard is 60 + the rest seems to go by fast.
Because the discussion of the Airplane! reference in MW came up ('Surely you can't be serious', etc), and I didn't want the new thread title to be angry and bitter in relation to the story about Michael Atkinson trying to get MW2 banned.

I don't need a semi-auto, I just need something that kills reliably when I pull the trigger. Besides, you work the bolt pretty fast. I once eliminated a three-man zergrush on my position with as many shots. Pop, pop, pop.
Just don't put a silencer on it. Shoot, move, ambush the poor schmuck who runs over to investigate.
I went 32-3 (captures) in 3rd person CTF on Rust. My team just ran in a big circle. By the time one guy had capped the flag, another was standing on their flag to grab it immediately. I also made 20 kills. Finished the game with 4920 xp, plus 1500 match bonus.
Pair it with an AA-12; you pretty much can sit in a building with only staircases leading up to it and get some consistent AC-130 action. I'd taken out about 5-7 of them, predator/harrier dropped on them, and they rushed the building I was in. 3 came up the stairs at once, the first AA-12 shot actually penetrated them all and was a triple kill.
Plus the rifle just sounds so unique, and the name itself is just cool; Intervention...
It is pretty frustrating a lot of the time.
I know how to play the game, I didn't say was doing bad with it, just saying I feel like the only one using it.

And 80% of XBL is terrible.
Ergo, people don't use the bolt-action.
While I agree XBL is terrible service filled with terrible people, I'm not playing MW2 on the 360. PC is the only way to go when it comes to multiplayer, and while the P2P shit is pretty bad, I know I won't have to deal with it several months down the line, because one way or another dedicated servers are going to be put back into this game.

Also, I toughed out the silencer [goddamn thing turns all my guns into inaccurate BB rifles] so I could get HBS on my SCAR. The thing makes me feel like I'm cheating. Hell, first two games I played with it were both 45+ kills with less then 15 deaths.
I love the thing.
Don't read my words out of context. 80% of the players on XBL are terrible. I'm overall pleased with the service, and yes, I have played multiplayer games (with dedicated servers) on the PC.

Amusingly, the first lmg with stopping power bro is basically an anti-aircraft gun. Can put down a harrier in a few seconds. It's kind of funny.
And why you would ever want to put a Thermal on an SMG I'll never know.
