So Terry's Chocolate Oranges... they always hit the states around the holidays, but this year I haven't been able to find them anywhere. Sites online don't have them, no stores have seen them... instead, I've seen something similar from a Ferrara brand.
Have they been rebranded? Are they not coming? A strange H/A thread, I know, but I'm trying to find some for my wife in time for Christmas without paying crazy prices to import them.

Originally from England, I believe. They're basically orange-flavored chocolate shaped into oranges with slices and everything. They have them all year round there, but they tend to crop up more here around the holidays.
They are delicious.
The avalanche has already started; it is too late for the pebbles to vote.
So far, I've bought a dark chocolate one (for LewieP's sister) a milk chocolate one (for LewieP) a popping candy one (for LewieP's sister's bf) and a white chocolate one (for LewieP's daddy). I've bought me a toblerone - I can't stand chocolate oranges, the chocolate is nasty!

Lies!
Dark chocolate ones are easily the best, stupidly morish though. The ease with which I can decimate one is frankly scary.
Are you guys talking about the chocolate ball that looks like an orange and is sliced like an orange but is actually just orange flavored chocolate? And you have to slam it on the counter to make it break into orange bits? Yeah, those are delicious. Also, saw em at Stop and Shop here in MA.
I'm shocked so many people like these things. They're horrid.
I had one when I was a kid and I thought it was awful. I loved the novelty of it being in the shape of an orange with slices but it just tasted so horrible.

The first time I had one was when I was living in England, and I thought it was pretty great. When I came back home I brought some with me and eating them brought back memories. I had thought they'd be really nasty before I tried one, but I ended up liking them a lot.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of them myself, but my wife loves them. I've looked here at Walgreens, CVS, Walmart (even these three's online sites), and the local grocery stores... nothing. You all have seen them, though, so it must be just our little shithole in Vermont.
OK, I'll bring some to PAX East, then, but I am truly shocked at you all for liking them, they are very, very nasty! And Ceres, do you really want some super noodles? PM me your address and I'll post you some.

Is this the one where the ads had people slamming them against walls and then peeling them?
It is the very same. Be warned that I would not try slamming one of the oranges to break up the slices. I did this when I first tried one of these as a lad and all I did was smash my chocolate up to bits while making a mess.
so where do you get them in Aus? I think I saw them in Kmart once, but the thing about Kmart chocolate is that it tends to be..old. Like, separating old D:

Wait what? This man tells lies, that is the only way to break up the slices.

In the commercial they show people slamming those things with extreme prejudice. When I performed this maneuver with the foil wrapping intact the results were not favorable. It is the only way to get the slices apart, but don't do what I did and Van Damme the thing.
OK, I've bought 2 extra - a dark chocolate and a sugar-and-fat-one-masquerading-as-chocolate-but-it-can't be-it-has-no-cocoa-solids-in-it aka white chocolate one.

I saw them at our local Trader Joe's as well. That's probably your best bet.

So much better because each segment has that satisfying *snap* when you bite it and they last much longer because they have to melt even more.
Awww yeah.

Wait, they have mint ones? Now I need to go find some! I have seen the orange ones around and had raspberry in the past but I need to try mint!
