Who Tiesto? Because he totally makes his own music and that's all he plays live. He just came out with a CD of all his own stuff recently. He has a few such albums. He is more famous for his In Search of Sunrise compilations though. I think his latest original album is fantastic though!
nah
he hires ghost producers and just puts his name on it

often they are incredible examples of doing a lot with not very much and they're usually free
i should really learn how to use Little Sound DJ and pump out some game boy tunes on the bus
I really want to do this but I don't understand a god damn thing about making music let alone chiptunes
The gameboy programs seem easier to pick up and fuck with, but it's still not very intuitive. I hand code my NES tunes and the text files look like some kind of arcane music vomit. It's a bitch to count out all the tracks and make sure that they all have the same number of beats and the same length.
Khavall just started a blog with music theory lessons that looks pretty rad, but that still assumes some knowledge. Thankfully there are a ton of really good basic music lessons on the good old interbuttz
I guess this is where I would ask this. I'm trying to remove the vocals to a song for a talent show, but the song is hip hop and thus is very bass heavy and what have you. I tried to do the cheap-ass audacity method but it didn't work and Adobe Audition's "Remove Vocals" was horrible.
It sounds like everything is heavily muffled and the vocals are fading in and out volume wise and sound like their coming through old speakers or something

I agree. They were even better when I saw them by themselves on the Sugar tour. I think Witching Hour was their best album.

The Faint seemed like they just didn't give a shit when I saw them. I was getting into it, but they just seemed tired or something.
Also I'd like to point out that Potatoe is one of the only living souls to actually have purchased my synthpop band's album.
