My family has a lot of traditions this time of the year. There is always a night where we go get some Sonic and tour the neighborhood looking at Christmas decorations. We also have a family movie night, then a fella movie night. Christmas Eve dinner is always cold cuts and hoagie rolls with some sparkling grape juice.
Then at the other family we have a supposedly German Christmas. Instead of opening up gifts on Christmas morning we open them on Christmas eve night. We stay in our rooms until we hear bells, oh and then it's run downstairs for fun. Not sure if this is how it is supposed to be done, but hey that is how we do it.
Every year I build a snowman, sadly one year it was not so much made out of snow as it was chicken wire, starch and newspaper painted white. It turned out quite nice, and no kids knocked it over. Also once a year I go to a movie theater alone with a flask of southern comfort, and sip on that and just enjoy the movie.
What kind of traditions do you have? Alternatively what kind of traditions do you think you will want to start if you create a family?

Also we're going to cam with my parents. Should be cool.

we just watched it again tonight and oh god
We just have turkey dinner. S'bout it!
I like pajamas
we go to the christmas eve church service with the candlelight singing of holy night.
then we go to our grandparents' house and eat either a dinner or a bunch of appetizers, eat cookies, and drink a bunch of wine.
my uncle hides some simpsons characters in the manger scene
then we open presents around 7-8 pm.
A Christmas Story is on in the background because it is tradition and my grandma hates it
then my cousin, sister, and I watch Elf (newer tradition)
but right now it seems we are not going there because driving 1.5 hours on unplowed wisconsin country roads with this snowstorm is a terrible idea
My joke is lost. my entrance into this thread is for naught. we used to make death ramps for sledding every year
now just dinner
disappointed
Still working on making my own family traditions but living in Japan makes it odd. We do watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Original cartoon version) and Scrooged on Christmas Eve though.
K now let's move on.
I have two christmases even though my parents are still married!
it's always hilarious.
I like to watch Home Alone every Christmas Eve, and if I feel like it afterwards, Home Alone 2. BUT THERE WERE NO HOME ALONE MOVIES AFTER THAT ONE SO OH WELL
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
My family used to have the tradition where we would play Axis and Allies when we got together for Christmas.
It always would turn out the same say, my dad and I would always be winning, so my brother would start cheating, would get caught, cry about it complaining how we never trust him, then run off into his bed.
We are all older now, and it plays out pretty much the same when we do play, except we can't catch my brother cheating, he has become quite subtle about it.
what about Home Alone 3?
WHAT NEW HOME ALONE KID IS WAY BETTER THAN MCAULKIN.
and 4!
Caulkin bangs Mila Kunis
I think he wins
No, I'm pretty sure there was a home alone 3
In fact there were two more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_Alone

On my dad's side we tend to get a bit rowdy, and usually someone breaks a bone, needs stitches, or gets a concussion. It became so bad one Christmas that the ER people started getting to know us.
pfft what are you guys talking about those movies totally don't exist you guys are playing tricks on me stop it

Natek, I felt that you should know that.
No you're thinking of Richie Rich
do you remember scarlet?
I bought my lil brother Stratego hoping it would become our thing.
Slowly he is warming up to it, I just need to let him win sometimes.
Because you understand and love Julian Casablancas/The Strokes like I do
I say this because I am listening to You Talk Way Too Much and I saw you and I was like yes cohesion
I used to act out the scene in home alone 2 where marv kept getting hit with bricks
I was 6
I would hug Julian Casablancas
I would drink his saliva to steal his singing voice

Because if you do, you should hire Marv to do a narration over it.
we didn't own a video camera
I'm pretty sure I have a tape of it somewhere.
Honestly can't name one person that hasn't enjoyed Stratego after explaining the rules and playing a single game.
