So in order to back up my files and upgrade to Windows 7, i bought one of these today
I take it home, boot up my computer and plug it in
Only I have linux (for now, since my Vista is fried), and this has some bogus software installed on it that won't let me use the dang thing
My Google prowess is lacking apparently, so I have no idea what to do
help?

and i can't use it either, even though i know i had it when i made this partition
so i just should reformat the thing?
edit: what file system should i use

I would also suggest using ntfs if you didn't go that route already. Unless you plan on exclusively using linux distros that are several years old, or something.
