    Yes. To be fair to them they were trying to continue a story with a ton of seasons under its belt. It took them a while to find their groove. And while Eccleston was definitely the better actor, Tennant got the better stories in the next season.

    I think you have to have a fond appreciate of Achewood to enjoy the new Dr.
    So, IMHO, Helena Bonham Carter would have been the perfect doctor and she'd be female to boot, which would be an interesting twist on the mythos.

    She would be a great choice if it weren't for the fact that she's Helena Bonham Carter.

    It was awful.

    I disliked the majority of season one of the new series but towards the last 5 or so episodes it really gets good and keeps going.

    Yet that is exactly what i see here.

    I mean Doctor Who is kind of a cultural touchstone for Brits, but American Doctor Who fans were kind of like the dudes that hardcore dorks would make fun of to feel better about themselves.

    I mean it is 30-year-old loopy, poorly-made English sci-fi that ran on PBS.
