DVD+R discs do not work on all DVD players. DVD-R discs are almost universally compatible, Some non-computer DVD players don't read burned discs of any type.
DVDs are also mastered with a particular track format. PCs just read the files, but DVD players are not that smart are read the data directly from the sectors. You need to do a 1:1 copy of the disk using an ISO burner. Dragging and dropping the folders doesn't cut it.

This. Imageburn or ConvertXtoDVD should do the trick.
