Am I the only one who thinks the kindle is kinda stupid?
Do people really need to have a mobile library of books at their fingertips?

EDIT: I suppose if you were a mobile researcher or something, but your average person surely doesn't need that level of data on their person at all times.

The kindle's main selling point for me is:
    Do you like to read?
Do you plan on moving house anytime in the future?

The boxes and boxes of books I tend to accumulate are a pain in the ass to haul around.

Of course, even if I had a kindle, I'd still have a crapload of art books to haul around, and it'll be some time before those can be reproduced digitally in a satisfactory way.

Also if you can upload plain .txt files to it I'd save a lot of money on older books via Project Gutenberg. Reading 300 pages of text on a normal screen is awful and printing them out probably would cost more than buying a real book, so it'd be nice to have something to make that wonderful resource actually usable.

I'll look that one up on Amazon when I get home, though in a fit of desperation to read something I picked out a book randomly in my house. It was Dracula. Not very funny... maybe it'll be like that Lesley Neilsen movie later on.

Mmm, sorry, that was my bad sense of humor being Alaskan, Going Rogue is Sarah Palin's autobiography. The things she says in it, as someone who has lived around her politics, tend to be laughable for those with enough common sense.

How about Forest Green? I used my Seafoam Green to draw a picture of underwater shamrocks, so there is only a nub left. Maybe I could scavenge some of the sharpening shaving from the little crayon sharpener on the back of the box.

Well, they have a really cute shop/food area set up like a little Japanese village, but I don't know if that's before or after the gate. I wanna say before. So you might not be able to get there :c
