I'm pretty sure there were ways to make this thing immune to everything too. An echanment or some equipped item.

Regardless, it's a creature that costs 7 mana that came out during a time when everything was based around artifacts, artifact creatures, and countering said things.

What was bullshit was artifact lands.

honestly slivers moved to slow, even for onslaught block. If you could get it rolling it was a power house but by then most things would be out pacing you.

Having a first turn 1/2 creature and then having two 2/3 creatures on your second turn was generally enough to get moving.

Every sliver deck i played i trashed, but it was always a fun game. My favourite deck was my dragon deck. I would often win with out playing a single dragon. spending three mana to do 9 damage tended to see to me not needing to. Excellent multiplayer deck.

That artifact crazy time lead to my friend making a 120 card deck of nothing but artifacts, and it was absolutely ridiculous.

Oh and ornithopter was the cheapest card ever.

I think that one of my greatest moments was against an elf deck that spammed lifegain every turn.

By turn 10 or so he was gaining about 60 life per turn.

By turn 15 I had a brood silver, seedborn muse, and coat of arms in play.

By turn 17 I had 100/100 slivers in play.

how does that work? they should only be getting +16/+16, unless you had like, 5 in play.

edit: never mind, i thoguht you sad you had 17 100/100 silvers.

Brood Sliver causes you to spawn a 1/1 sliver token whenever you deal damage to the opposing player.

Seedborn muse allowed me to attack with all of my slivers each turn.

So I was attacking with all of my slivers every turn, trying to put a dent in his life.

Each turn I would double the amount of slivers I had.

    So I went from (I am making these numbers up) 5 - 11 - 22 (played coat of arms) - 46 - 92 slivers game over

EDIT: I should mention that I already had a ward sliver out that made them immune to green spells and creatures.

My elf deck got to the point where i probably could have survived that for a while. though 100 100/100s would have ended it shortly.

Well that's why it's my favorite moment.

It's the only time my opponent has ever been able to survive an onslaught of slivers for long enough that they would dish out near infinite damage.

So last night my friend busted out a "Tim" deck

Tim's of course being 1/1ish creatures with the ability tap to deal 1 damage. We call them Tim's because Prodigal Sorcerer looked kind of like Tim from Monty Pythons Holy Grail.

In any case how the deck was supposed to work was he was supposed to have enchantments to give his creatures wither and others to increase their direct damage abilities, but he got shafted on his draws and wasn't able to get enough of the enchantments out before he was ran over by the rest of our decks (5 player free for all game).

I had to take off right before my black/green creature shitter deck was about to really come online. I had just played night soil, and was about to start shitting out a ton of 1/1 saprolings

The new card face has been around for quite a few years now. It has gone through a couple of minor minor revisions. You might also be refering to some of the "future shifted" cards from Future Sight, that card face was only used in that set for those special cards.

My wife has a thallid/saporling deck that if you don't knock out fast you will be overrun by 60+ 3/3 saporlings.

Too bad my friends all seem to have an aversion to attacking first in a free for all and basically gang up on whoever makes the first offensive move. Then they wonder why no one stopped her before her deck kicks into high gear.
