I always loved Londo. Best character in B5.

Supposedly he's now a lecturer in a University somewhere in the US according to his wiki. God what i'd give to be lectured by him! Would be awesome!

Lando, Garibaldi, and G'karr were the best characters on the show. With Lita, Sinclair, Zack Allen, and Lenir being the worst (the replacement Ivanovah doesn't rank because seriously I'd rather forget).

    Man, Sinclair was great.

Also, goddamn, Lita stays on the show? I just saw the first episode with her. D:

No she leaves I just couldn't remember the shitty captain they replaced her with. I've had more emotional development in my shits then Sinclair managed!

good call on Gene Wolfe duder

    how awesome is the play?
I think a lot of it went over my head honsetly

it'd probably help if I took a refresher on Genesis given all the biblical stuff in it

Somewhat, but also a lot of it is a coded form of the backstory of the actual book. It will be more apparent on the reread.

There was a person that used to go to the bakery at the supermarket where I worked specifically to get his bread sliced lengthways.

Never did ask what he was doing with it that necessitated such very large slices.

The rise of commercial bakeries was a paradigm shift Their main product is pre-sliced bread that does not go stale in a day even though it's sold sliced and kept in a bag that isn't completely airtight.

    No one

Part of that is because it's kind of nonlinear and really requires about two or three rereads.

During 1943, U. S. officials imposed a short-lived ban on sliced bread as a wartime conservation measure.[11][12] The ban was ordered by Claude R. Wickard who held the position of Food Administrator, and took effect on January 18, 1943. According to the New York Times, officials explained that "the ready-sliced loaf must have a heavier wrapping than an unsliced one if it is not to dry out." It was also intended to counteract a rise in the price of bread, caused by the Office of Price Administration's authorization of a ten percent increase in flour prices.

Things like visual C++ where the program does my troubleshooting for me for the most part.

    I hate you

Visual Studio continues to be some of the most primitive bullshit I have ever dealt with. I really hate how many programmers think its the best thing since sliced bread

I'm still learning to program. I only get to use what they let me.

Whenever my mum bakes bread (which is whenever my brother or I am at home) she makes it really wide cause both of us prefer eating big slices of bread.

But surely a slice that size wouldn't be able to support its own weight, never mind any filling.

You'd have to cut it up to eat it, thus defeating the point.

Those glorious jerks! I mainly stopped buying sliced bread because the stuff I buy these days is made by a small local place, which goes off faster if sliced at the bakery. But damm it is good having a great bakery within 5 minutes walk

Whenever I have a lot of company that I'm going to serve sandwiches to, I always get a nice loaf of "artisan" bread made by a local bakery and get the grocery store to slice it up for me. If It was me alone, the bread would go horribly stale in no time, but for a group of people, it's great. They're always amazed at how much better real bread is for making sandwiches over Wonder bread and the similar, slightly heartier products.
