Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Eat Poop You Cat! - Holy shit! Two sentences up. Links in OP.
So, what is Eat Poop You Cat? Well it's essentially a party game that requires the following things:
Sense of humor
Well since this will be a PbP, Pen(cil) and paper won't be needed. So you're free to use whatever image making application you want.
Since I'll be hosting this and the majority of my posts for this will be while I'm at work, all participants will be required to host their images on imageshack. Photobucket is blocked, and imageshack is the only site I know of that isn't blocked.
Each player starts with a piece of paper and a pencil. At the top of the paper, each player writes a sentence. Then they pass the papers to their left. The next player "draws" the sentence a la Pictionary, then folds the paper so only the drawing is visible and passes it to their left. The next player looks at the drawing and writes a sentence that they think the drawing represents. This continues until all players have their original paper back. At the end, all players unfold their paper, and much hilarity ensues as "I am the Walrus, koo-koo-ca-choo" becomes "Hitler and I danced the night away in a disco."
Here's a sample of what you can get:
So how are we going to play this? Well since this is going to obviously be different than being in person, I will kind of have to figure out most of it on the fly while figuring out what works and what doesn't work.
Since there is no clear winner or loser, people are free to join and drop as they'd like. This thread technically can go on forever.
First off, how about we find out who is interested? For now, I'm going to keep it small. I think I'll limit it to the first 7 - 10 people that sign up. Then if I feel more can be added or some need to be kicked out, we'll adjust the number as such.
Once this fills up, I'll have each person PM me with a sentence. Now, to keep my PM box from getting overflowed with crap, I think I'll limit the "game" to 2 or 3 "current" sentences and then add more as we complete a sentence.
