if you take out the sunflower, the seed has no context though
in good design, you don't just toss shit in, it has to have some sort of bigger context, and flow together.

so if i take out the sunflower, the seeds also have to be changed
so now i don't know what to do.

It's not really the idea of a sunflower that bothers me, it's the seeds set up in an array like that. It feels crowded.

I think Tams idea of cutting one or two of the seeds and rearranging them would be worth trying.

    FREAKING SWEET FIGURE STUDIES!

My opinion, i think you should scrap this one.
the gesture is good, but it doesnt look as confident as your other 'loose' figures above. This one just looks out of place.

winter: you know what's so funny about that?
all of the other figures were done in my figure study class
where i had a really great prof who made me feel comfortable
that one drawing is the only one on there that was done in my drawing studio class
where i had a professor who made me feel really uncomfortable and up tight

    isn't that weird?

i agree, it's not nearly as fluid as the others!

If you want to get picky:

    beavotron.jpg

1- This guy is posed/drawn really well, but he's not effectively relating to the platform. I lightened that little bit of the surface to relate it to those light shapes on the body.

2- This hand gets weirder the more I look at it. It might be that these lines are too dark, or it might be that the perspective is off. Or maybe you just have weird hands, I don't know. My pollicis muscles are way bigger than that.

3- These lines aren't differentiated very well. Also, where's the head of the tibia?

That little thing that sticks out on the medial side of the ankle. I don't know what the exact term for it is. Distal epiphysis? Ankle... bone?

Anyway, you made a ridge for it on the outline of the foot, but there's no shading to show its 3D form.

I want to see more. Are there turnaround pictures somewhere?
