Geez, I always shied away from Age of Apocolypse due to the sheer amount of reading is required (4 volumes of TPB's!), but after buying and reading the first two volumes of Exiles, I really wanted to get into it.
Needless to say I've just blown through Volume 1 of AoA, and look forward to blowing through the rest of them. My only concern right now is the way they've structured the TPB's. Perhaps it's because I'm not familiar with the content, but it seems to go out of order. Perhaps someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but my head is kinda spinning at this point, especially with X-Man, and with different members of the X-Men team from story arc to story arc.
As well, Exiles is brilliant! Gonna start picking up those TPB's as well.
Hay guys, I just got my issue of X-Factor. It is pretty cool. The first part is one hell of a tease about shit that's going down with Jamie (and some other mutants, implicitly), while the rest is setting up the new story arc. I'm not too familiar with Val Cooper, but I'm beginning to think she's a bitch.
I picked up the Phoenix: Warsong series today, which was kinda cool, but felt like it needed to take a breath here and there.
Yeah, a breath of Zyclon-B. Warsong was an abortion.
Gotta agree with Terrorbyte (shiver) here... This is the first mini I stopped buying halfway through.
Maybe it got better, but it would have had to have gotten one hell of a lot better....

So I am now in love with the Exiles. Picked up a slew of trades after reading 1 and 2 and just love every minute of it. Mimic and Blink are great characters, and I'm glad they mix it up every few issues with the other teammates.

Think about this though. No matter how hard you polish a turd, it's still a turd. There's only so much a good writer can do for a terrible idea.

Enh, Bedard wasn't too bad... at least, until he totally retconned the Timebroker and completely changed the direction of the series
Endsong was pretty bleh as well.
Or maybe I just hated it because of all the damn porn faces.
I didn't even make it to the Bedard issues.. Austen was writing it for a couple arcs after Winnick.
