I've heard that the Ork buggy thing (the one smaller than the trukk) may be getting a new plastic kit with the Spearhead release, but I don't really have any evidence to back that up.

*Hopes it's a combi-kit of wartrakk and warbuggy...*

Hey guys. I think there's one thing we missed in the announcement.
    {plastic kits, apparently}
Leman Russ? Hydra? I'm totally excited now.
    Stormraven?

    Exocrine? Haruspex? :P

Knowing them it's going to be a new Rhino chassis
I would like to see a Hydra/Manticore they use the same turret in the pictures at least

Why would they do a new Leman Russ?

    Heh.
Think on this for a moment; Stormraven -> storm raven -> storm associated w/ thunder, ravens are birds. Thunderbird!
And which Thunderbird has a significant transport capacity/deploys smaller vehicles?

Generic drive-by squad. Get close and flame/bolt things to death.

IMO, Battle Sister Superiors should have a combi-flamer or the Brazier over a power weapon. 3 flame templates(one of which is a heavy flamer) with Divine Guidance makes a mess out of everything.

Problem is, I don't have that. Easy to model, though. I suppose I could do combi-flamer and CCW, and drop the frags on her (which I forgot to post). but it's nice having a backup weapon, just in case... and with Hand of the Emperor, she can cut fools nicely.

    Hm, I shall think :P.

They need the power weapon. Otherwise they will lose if they get sneezed on in CC

The following people are amazing and I love them: Wildcat, Timspork, Kias, Denada, susan, Sharp101, [GHSC]Ryctor, Matev, Matrias, ItBurns, Slapnuts, Dayspring, see317, and the unknown poster that sent me a box of Death Company! <3 If you get them as Santees you should buy them amazing things!

Or make, what.... 16 3+ armor saves in close combat without losing a single fucking sister so my skyclaws can lose combat by like 5 and get completely raped.

    Or that too.

Ahahaha. I love it when they beat the odds in CC. Always great.

I once has a 10-sister squad beat a 10-man death company. Best thing ever. Never seen so many wiffs in my life, and remember that they get re-rolls...
I did have an eviscerator, though.

And DC only get rerolls on the charge with a Chaplain. I hope someone didn't cheat you... Though, sounds like you still rocked them, sooo :P

Well, in subsequent turns, I mean... Cause, I refuse to believe you beat 10 DC and a Chaplain in a single CC phase....

I lost 7 and Chappy to fucking 10 Grey Hunters, but it took most of the game

It is currently the only remaining IG tank to use the seperate tracks and wheels.

Also we can't build about three of the tanks. Something with some of the extra turret options would be nice. Especially after they screwed us with the Basilisk.

For Seraphims and Celestians, I'd agree. In my experiance, Battle Sisters are better served by Divine Guidance in close combat, or even better, murdering the enemy first with a driveby. Between a 3+ armor save, and the better-than-stubborn Book of St Lucius, battle sisters work better as a tarpit.

Back from the TSHFT 1850 point Tournament. I ended up on Table #2 in the last round, but lost with an overall record of 3 wins and 2 losses. Still, that's two more wins than I had at the Seattle GT in January, so my ascent of Mt. Learning Curve continues.

Game 1 was against IG, and I lost due to committing the Cardinal Sin of splitting my forces and getting rolled up piecemeal. "Thou Shalt Not Split Thy Forces" is getting painted into the scrollwork on the back of my Exorcists once I put it through the Latin Translator when I get home from work.

Game 2 was against Space Wolves with 5 Drop Pods, and even though he tried to box me in, I ended up almosttabling him. Best memory was getting three Rhino Sisters squads to completely remove Arjac Rockfist's unit with Divine Guidance, and pile back into their Rhinos in time to claim three Objectives before the end of the game.

Game 3 was against non-Seer Council Mech Eldar, and the Exorcists popped the Fire Dragons Wave Serpent and Eldrad and his Banshee escorts Falcon on the first turn. I wiped out his last unit on the last turn and came away with maximum points.

Game 4 the next day was againt Space Wolves with 2 Land Raider Redeemers, and even though I didn't get the first turn I ended up tabling him. The dice hated him though as after I popped open the Wof Guard Terminator's Land Raider they all died to Immolator templates before the Celestians on board got to fire their Meltas.

Game 5 was against the toughest Ork player in the area who had just had his only loss in the previous round. The scenario was Dawn of War and I went second. He put down two units of 30 Shoota Boyz right at the middle of the board. I kept everything off the board since I figured one Rhino full of Sisters and the Canonesses Immolator wouldn't be able to do enough to matter.

    I was so, so wrong.

I never got my army (other than two Rhinos) more than 15" into the board, and nothing ever crossed the midway point. 30 Orks within template range as soon as I drove on, and the second wave of 30 more Orks hitting my right flank Immolators the next turn, boxing me in. I'm going to see if I can get a rematch with the guy this Friday and re-play the scenario with the same starting conditions to see if there's more I could have done given the situation.

    Your sig was too tall.

Matrias, are you waiting for GW wolves or something? how are you going to field thunderwolf Cavalry?

I understand your problems with the maxmini wolves, and even these wolves that he just posted but I just don't see anything better out there right now.

I have my two canis conversions, and a pair of wolves from a Russian names mrs velard (or something). I wasn't originally a fan, but the wolf is just a tad smaller then Canis, well sculpted and proportioned, and comes with a pair of rider legs.

I'd love GW to release their own bit I know thats never going to happen.

So...I've stopped using Dread's. Pretty much all together.

They are to slow! Perhaps it's just my army and play style, but I am blown away by how effective Land Speeders are when properly supported.

One tactic I have been using, is throwing my sword and pistol marines into something. Then swinging my speeders around behind the melee and lighting up the rear ranks, as the bikes turbo boost in and provide distraction.

So far (2 games today trying this), I'm seeing my opponents take the bait and open fire on my invuln saved bikes, and ignore the speeders. I asked my second opponent "Why didn't you shoot the speeders, that just killed at least their points?" He said, "Well, speeders are easy to kill! I figured, why not attack the bikes since you hung them out...oh damn..."

I'm not sure what causes this, but I'm able to field 2 or 3 speeders per dread, and get even more versatility. Yes, they can get popped by bolt pistols, but if you time that flat out move just right, you can get in place to shred a target the next turn, with relative safety. Plus, most people (at least at my LGS) underestimate them, and if you use some bait, can keep them from getting shot at at all.

Sorry if I'm just spouting the obvious, but I've been wanting to use these speeders I've had for a while, finally threw them on the table...and was just impressed. I got more firepower then a dread, more flexibility, and it was able to keep up with my (near) fully transported army. In the past I've had my dread just stand in the back field and do jack squat while I am busy trying to organize the assault.

Sounds like you just played a game using Ravenwing!

People always hate playing against it. LOTS of moble firepower that can be anywhere at anytime. It's a glass hammer, but it sure hits hard! Three LandSpeeders shooting at [Anything] turns the enemy into Chunky Salsa!
