This looks so good. So help me if this pulls a Spider-man 3 I'm going to be furious

Your fuckin' family's dug into the Southie projects like ticks. You, however, grew up on the North Shore, huh? Well, la-di-fuckin'-da. You were kind of a double kid, I bet, right? Huh? One kid with your old man, one kid with your mother. You're upper-middle class during the weeks, then you're droppin' your "R"s and you're hangin' in the big, bad Southie projects with your daddy on the weekends. I got that right?

Very doubtful. Favreau has shown to be (thankfully) nothing like Raimi has been to the source material.

The marvel films tend to follow a pattern where the second of a series is much better than the first, then they destroy everything that could possibly make the movie good for the third installment.

Which movies beyond the spider-man trilogy have they done this with?

    i understand your concern

but iron man is the first marvel movie series totally produced "in-house" as it were.

spider-man was sony and x-men was fox i believe.

    This.

Marvel has complete control now. And Iron Man is really the front runner for the whole franchise of Avenger movies they want to do, so they can't afford to screw it up or piss off the fanbase.

    Jesus that looks amazing.

And the fact AC/DC is providing the music for it just gets me even more excited.

Whiplash has a pretty awesome line in this. He's actually looking like a really interesting villain, which is something I'd like to see more in movies.

    I mean, (Iron Man spoiler)

My only concern with this is that it suffers from the Spider-Man 3 problem of too much shit going on. I mean, that's a lot of characters. But the first one was pretty well done so I'll hold onto hope :) That new trailer just looks badass.
