    I might be way over-thinking things, but the laptop in the principal's office looked pretty old. If I remember correctly, the alt-timeline takes place in 2003. Is that just another way to show the school's 'budget crisis' and I'm reading into it too much?

    I'm sure the answer to that is yes :?

    I noticed that too. it's not that far fetched for a school to standard issue a dirt cheap laptop to all its staff, and since laptops themselves were more expensive back then and they didn't have netbooks they'd have to reach back through time...
    I'm thinking back to when my high school used digicams that held a floppy disk inside. And they weren't broke.

    Maybe obvious, but it seems like Widmore is the one Jacob referred to at the Lighthouse when he said "someone is coming to the island and we have to help them".

    Probably alternate-timeline Sawyer chasing around Hurley to con him somehow out of his money, and the actual Sawyer fucking over Smokey in some way, shape or form

    So who's in charge of the "pop video" captions shown during the episode replay before each new LOST? I'm watching them now and they stated that the flashes "aren't forward or backward, but 'sideways' which show what would life would be life if oceanic 815 never crashed on the island..."

    I watched the episode already. It was pretty good. Last week was better.

    Spoilers!
    Quick summary:
    Locke sends Sawyer out to the other island to find the other plane. Widamore is there, Sawyer agrees to bring locke back for capture. Then sawyer returns and tells Locke everything, agreeing to fuck over Widmore.

    Claire attacks Kate. Locke stops them, helps claire, helps kate, they make up.

    Then Sawyer tells Kate his plan to steal the sub with kate while everyone else is fighting.

    Alt Sawyer is a cop. His partner is Miles. Sawyer's mom still got conned by the real Sawyer, and he's still looking for him. Sawyer has sex with that redhead chick that died then they get mad at eachother. Some drama happens and sawyer says "I'm going to find him and kill him"

    I'm not sure exactly who does them, but they are "official" if that's what you're wondering.

    That's kind of old news. Kind of like how the island isn't purgatory or heaven or whatever. Doesn't stop the speculating.

    Yea I'm pretty sure the previews confirmed it. It also appears that we are going to alternate between Sawyer & Co. episode and Jack & Co. episode until the season finale.

    What killed the Ajira folks? At first I thought, "Oh yeah, it was the people from the crash who went crazy." But then I remembered that they didn't go crazy, they were just speaking in code. No reason Ilana's folks would hurt the civvies on the flight. And I don't think there were any Others on Hydra, nor Smokey. So what? All bitten by magical paralyzing spiders?

    My guess is Widmores orders. He doesn't know what's going on, so everyone who wasn't with him is put down for security reasons. Widmore had no problem wiping out the island with the freighter, Widmore ordered the Purge. He's ruthless and I totally bet he had his crew do it.

    What the hell is behind that sub door?!?

    I was thinking about the submarine captain thing, but Sawyer was a security chief for Dharma for three years, and they regularly used a submarine. Maybe he picked it up then?

    Okay episode. I'm glad Sawyer is still his old self conning everyone though, and not just a Smokey puppet. I hope he does make it off the island, he deserves it.
