A potential client has decided on a truly awful design. The IT department is pushing for it because they think it will be less work, but it won't be. Their argument is that their solution is cheaper, but it's not that either. It also takes the KISS principle and ignores it. They want to use a lot of PTZ cameras (cameras that move) to cover some areas. A larger number of fixed cameras would do the job much more effectively and be more cost effective in both the short and long term. I get brought terrible ideas on a regular basis, but the security departments and maintenance departments will listen. They may not accept every idea I propose but they will listen. IT departments will defend their terrible ideas to the death.

Basically, crochet is done stitch by stitch with a hook, knit is done row by row with two (or more) sticks.

Or more specifically, the playoffs for the British ice hockey league is on easter weekend in the Nottingham Ice Arena, so me and a bunch of my welsh mates are heading up.
