Where will actors go now for their first job?

Some guy on the Guardian website is visiting my city, and is taking twitter tips on places to go. He has already been to my favourite tea and cake shop.

did he get a new tv too?

cause you probably mean me otherwise

and it's 63" samsung plasma hdtv (pn63b590). not 3d. I didn't feel like paying extra for the first generation of a technology with uncertain value added.

Oh yeah I must have meant you. Awesome. I don't think that tv could be contained by my apartment.

you'd just have to get creative. and get a tape measure out beforehand.

IT departments make my head hurt.

    What did they do?

A potential client has decided on a truly awful design. The IT department is pushing for it because they think it will be less work, but it won't be. Their argument is that their solution is cheaper, but it's not that either. It also takes the KISS principle and ignores it. They want to use a lot of PTZ cameras (cameras that move) to cover some areas. A larger number of fixed cameras would do the job much more effectively and be more cost effective in both the short and long term. I get brought terrible ideas on a regular basis, but the security departments and maintenance departments will listen. They may not accept every idea I propose but they will listen. IT departments will defend their terrible ideas to the death.

    Yes they will.

That is one of the many reasons why I want to get out of the IT field.

I'm hoping that my career as an attorney (in 2.5 years) will make me happy(er).

you don't have to. i am just trying to make a sign.

Basically, crochet is done stitch by stitch with a hook, knit is done row by row with two (or more) sticks.

What sign are you trying to make? Why does it need an anthropomorphic coffee bean?

And if you're willing to pay for materials and shipping I'm perfectly fine with making you a coffee bean. :)

Are you opening a coffee shop?

    Ice Hockey.
Or more specifically, the playoffs for the British ice hockey league is on easter weekend in the Nottingham Ice Arena, so me and a bunch of my welsh mates are heading up.

Should be a good weekend :)

ah. so if you mess up with one of your unnecessary sticks in knitting the whole row can come undone, where as with crocheting you proceed knot by knot.
