My favorite Deli shop is Andy's Deli in downtown Columbia, SC. The Special is so damn good.
Roast beef, turkey, cheese and bacon bits with dipping sauce. Fuck, 9 hours away.
ok, I just have to ask
who the fuck puts bacon bits on a sandwich? you use bacon strips on a sandwich
are the bacon bits they're using even real bacon or that artificial bullshit? in short, that sandwich doesn't seem all that boss
Fake bacon is nonsense of the highest order, though saying that I'm not even too big on normal bacon these days. I find it too salty most of the time, and can't deal with that so much

I think they're real bacon but honestly? I'm not sure. Regardless, the sandwich is delicious and anyone who says otherwise is a dirty liar!
I suspect you just have pretty low standards for food in SC
Shenanigans! I demand you fly to Columbia and eat this sandwich at once! There's an airport... sorta. It's open till 9pm!
I have been to Columbia, I have been to Charleston, I have even been to the tiny hole known as Goose Creek (where I got my only speeding ticket ever, goddammit SC cops) and believe me, there are way better things to eat down there than that sandwich.
Probably. My opinion may be colored by the fact that I am starving for a good deli sub and there are none up here. The fucking subway won't even let me customize my food, other than adding vegetables/sauce.
If you're dying for a good sandwich, I suggest a trip to the grocery store! Sandwiches are one of the easiest things to make at a restaurant-equivalent level at home.

I have been trying my hand at it, but no matter how well I make one, in the back of my head I keep thinking, "Really, are you sure it's good? Go see a professional!"

I found that video in one of the old food threads, and then proceeded to start watching episode after episode of Good Eats (there's at least 8 or 9 full seasons on youtube)

oh goddammit. as if the op wasn't enough to get me going. lemme consider this, and perhaps we should compile a list of what we're cooking and when.
i guess i should look at the bama op again for an approximate headcount.

I think usagi prefers vinegar based! (I could be wrong)
You, sir, are a rascally eater of broken meats.
Vinegar based BBQ is king among BBQ.
I suspect that sandwich with real bacon would be cloying yet tasty.
My folks move to NC later this year and the old man is not too thrilled with the BBQ options in front of him.
honestly. :^:
