    Fake bacon is nonsense of the highest order, though saying that I'm not even too big on normal bacon these days. I find it too salty most of the time, and can't deal with that so much

    I think they're real bacon but honestly? I'm not sure. Regardless, the sandwich is delicious and anyone who says otherwise is a dirty liar!

    Hopefully I just got a poorly made batch...or twelve, I don't know. People sing the praises of the stuff, but holy crap it's not good.

    My folks move to NC later this year and the old man is not too thrilled with the BBQ options in front of him.

    I have been to Columbia, I have been to Charleston, I have even been to the tiny hole known as Goose Creek (where I got my only speeding ticket ever, goddammit SC cops) and believe me, there are way better things to eat down there than that sandwich.

    Probably. My opinion may be colored by the fact that I am starving for a good deli sub and there are none up here. The fucking subway won't even let me customize my food, other than adding vegetables/sauce.

    If you're dying for a good sandwich, I suggest a trip to the grocery store! Sandwiches are one of the easiest things to make at a restaurant-equivalent level at home.

    I found that video in one of the old food threads, and then proceeded to start watching episode after episode of Good Eats (there's at least 8 or 9 full seasons on youtube)

    I felt it was my duty to pass that gift along.
