Just wondering how the registration is going? Is it going to sell out? ...cannot wait, just over a month to go...
Registration is going well and we have plenty of space! I don't think we'll sell out, but we're doing pretty good. I know that money is tight for a lot of people this year as opposed to many years past and I'm sure there are people who are hesitant to new organizers after the past few years had been done so well by the OG's of Pre-PAX Dinner. There's just under a month left to get your ticket!
If you get the chance, feel free to promote the dinner because the more the merrier!

We SHOULD, yes. However, it's totally up to Kropotkin as they really are his doing. I won't know until he gets them printed out and we actually talk, but again...we should have a limited amount of them available.
Also, I met with the caterer today and in regards to Gluten and Vegan situations:
If we have a few more people with Gluten allergy's decide to attend, we can work with something. Otherwise, it's just one person and unfortunately, there's not much they can do there.
Vegan options are also limited, but they did say they can look into having some extra salad there that would be vegan specific.
There is also the possibility of having gluten-free/vegan desserts, but they're still looking into that.
Beta: If you need someone at the door, I might be willing to do it for you. I mean I'll be in a wheelchair, but I should still be able to run the door, I've done it for numerous concerts and events in my area.
@ZeroHourHero - Thanks for the offer and you may definitely get called on. If you wouldn't mind, send me a PM just reminding me that you're volunteering.
I will be sitting down within the next 2 weeks or so and figuring out exactly how many volunteers I need and what I'll be needing them to do. I will absolutely need the volunteers to show up to the dinner early so we can go over everything.
I might be able to offer up volunteer services of myself and hubby. In part it depends on what time before the actual dinner you will need us? We are driving up from Ocean Shores that day (the first part of our vacation), so I would need to know what time to aim for.

As for the announcement, it's seriously nothing to get excited over. lol. I have no idea if it's happening yet and if it does, it's just more background noise than anything. You will all be shocked with disappointment. I built this up by saying "I have a neat announcement"...I thought 'neat' would help the excitement subside. heh.
We're still in need of volunteers and some A/V equipment. If anybody is willing to help out, let me know!

One of our local DJ's who specializes in some very geeky music has agreed to spin for us! DJ Panix, who spins everything from steampunky filled carnival music, to goth/industrial, straight hardcore punk and everything in between, will be filling out the DAR house with music to make your eating experience that much more fulfilling.
If you have any requests, I'll pass them on to see what he can do.
