My favorite part was when I decided the Brotherhood Outcasts had to be purged.

That'll teach them to not let me in their stupid shitty base.

Which base? The one you use to get in OA or Fort Independence?

Fort Independence. I only got Broken Steel and Point Lookout.

I'm sorry to say this but you'll regret getting it for a console. Bethesda games need to be modded in order to assure long-term fun.

    ludicrous

    This is true.

Hell, the ability to download a mod that will start me at the vault exit is worth it alone. same goes for oblivion and the mod that will start you at the sewer exit.

I just kept a save file there. BINGO BANGO BONGO problem solved.

    (me too)

Also, Civilization is one of my favorite songs, but Let's Go Sunning is probably the best

I wish this song had made it into the game instead of only being used in the trailer.

    oh, this is really great.

they need about 3x the music in New Vegas as they had in F3

The only time I ever used the console to cheat was when the game cheated first. Moriarty and that water processing plant dude weren't in megaton when I went there and never showed up no matter how long I waited. Turns out they were hidden under the world so I jumped over the megaton fence and took a hike in another dimension

I spent about three months listening to the F3 soundtrack

It encouraged me to download everything The Ink Spots did

There's an awesome mod that adds literally hundreds of tracks to 3 Dogs track list.

Also neat vaul-tec commercials and such

I love all the incomprehensible Depression-era references in Anything Goes.

Seriously, where the fuck does Sam Goldwyn get off trying to tell Anna Sten how to talk?

I think it's partly because of those references I enjoy the song so much

    no he's joking

like you'd have to go through a full complement of bullets normally before you reload

I can't imagine playing this game on a console.

I got a mod that gives me a perk that gives me bonuses for being drunk all the time. I can go and get myself detoxed in case I get high on Jet, then just chug away on the good stuff.

That and this thing, which I can't make up my mind on whether or not I should get. It's a brand new city! It's really awesome looking! And there's a brewery miniquest for all your drunken needs. Because honestly, if I was in my characters shoes I would definitely become an alcoholic and now I can't play the game without doing so.

I've modded the crap out of this game already, and I've got a bunch of mods I've got on hold until I reach a certain point in the game. I dunno if I want one more!

  • The Lovely BastardThe Lovely Bastard Registered User regular
yeah I wouldn't ever be able to play this on the pc because I'd like the game to end at some point

Also sharing an xbox is way easier than sharing a computer.

And I don't have to buy another copy for Jordyn to play.

I don't play PC games because I don't feel like owning a gaming PC on top of a 360 and PS3. Although this laptop can run Fallout 3 at pretty close to max specs.

Oh, I also feel like DLC has a better story on xbox than on PC, but that could just be because I haven't bothered to figure it out on PC.

I broke down and bought the GotY edition last time it was on sale because buying the expansions separately would have been way more expensive. I'm playing my first stealth playthrough and loving it. Critical sneak attacks are the most wonderful thing, especially with shotguns.

I love the idea of an alcoholic character. Maybe I'll get addicted to moonshine since I'm currently in Point Lookout.

Have you tried putting mines in people's pockets? It's one of my favorite things
You get so many grenades and mines anyway, why not put them to good use

I beat the game as Jesus-good and I dunno if I can be bad. :( If I replay the game I imagine I will play it exactly the same some how, idk.

I never played DLCs other than Anchorage, though, probably gonna get the GOY edition or something.

I can't even be Renegade in Mass Effect, and that's not even being Evil. It's just being Asshole.

So, has there been any word on the Vegas Fallout Obsidian is supposedly working on? Chris Avellone has some new game coming out too, last I heard.

I'm on my second playthrough right now (the self-serving bitch run, as-opposed to the super-paragon run my first time through).

This time I'll finally get to play Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta. I could visit them with my first character but since he's maximum-level I don't see a lot of point in continuing with him.

Just blew up Megaton this past weekend, that was awesome. It was dark when it detonated so the effect was particularly spectacular.
