    Hey, I'm in san bernardino area, and have a jeep. I'm defenitely interested in going.

    On a side note, I may have access to an rv. Its pretty small, and rather old, but some one was asking after one.

    I think I'm just gonna fly my g/f and I out there. It will probably only come out to being $500 or so for the flight + hotel? Just preorder the pax admissions and we're good.

    San Bernadino to PAX:

    Total Est. Time: 18 hours, 54 minutes Total Est. Distance: 1213.16 miles

    2004 Honda Civic: 38 miles to the gallon.

    1213 divided by 38 = 32 gallons of gass for one way trip.

    Average cost of gas where I live $2.00. $64 one way, and $128 tottal.

    5 seats in car. Roughly $30 each for trip.

    I will be taking two friends of my own, So, I should have room for 2 others. If you got the cash, are not a prick and don't smell bad; I can give you a ride. But I don't think anyone should be calling seats till were much closer to game day, anything could happen between now and then.

    I'm down for all of us meeting and carpooling out there but going anywhere near L.A. if you don't have to is nuts. :shock: If were going to meet up I suggest somewhere closer to ontario, or montclair, or at the very least passadena. No way in hell am I driving through L.A.

    Don't take life too seriously, its not like you get out of it alive.

    Hey all,
    I'm Santa Barbara, and definetly going to this. My mom (the person who suggested the idea in the first place, she loves PA) is getting a rental van or something, and taking me and any of my friends, people I know, or just anybody that'll chip in for gas. So I can see if she can pick up any of you on the way there, as long as you chip in.

    i just thought i would make a note: theres a thread on the forum here about a west coast super trip from socal up to PAX... talks of wireless network gaming and such. all you guys here should take a glance there and vice verca. no need having two threads for what is essentially the same subject...

    While the carpool idea sounds really cool, after talking to where I work, I just cant get that much time off (already taking days off for:Pacific Media Expo, E3, San Diego Comic Con, Blink 182 concert, so days off are tapped). I'm booking a flight and a hotel out there. The total is looking to be around $350 bucks.

    Just to kinda throw this idea out. It really at the moment would be a long shot.
    If theres going to be a soCal convey coming up, I'm not sure where y'all are going to stop on the first day (if you are going to stop and sleep), but if you wanna crash in Redding I would probably be able to get y'all some discount round table pizza and maybe offer you guys my living room to crash in. I do still live at home though so I don't know if my dad would enjoy that.

    Just tryin' to see if I can do my part.

    In L.A.

    I probably won't be able to pull it off, though, as my summer internship/fellowship (a paid one at that) may not be done by then.

    I'll have to look into it in more detail.

    as it's in august, and i'll be 17 by then, i'll probably be able to weasel my mom into letting me go. if that's true, i could take a maximum of 3 other people.
    it's 2 days either way from here in SD, is it?
    but it'd be worth it!

    Where in SD are you from? There was discussion of a group from New England car pooling. They'd be taking I-90 if it actually happened.

    [edit] Shit, you meant San Diego, didn't you? Psh. Never mind.

    you're = you are
    your = belonging to you

    their = belonging to them
    there = not here
    they're = they are

    fucking air tickets cost so much. if only jetblue went to SEA.
    oh well ~210 round trip is almost what I'd pay in gas I supposes. and the time save makes up for it

    hey, if you kids are heading towards us, legacy and I need a ride. It would be nice if we could get names of people who can drive and from where so we can arracnge pickups and the like.

    See, legacy and I WOULD drive, but I have to be back for a class on monday, and my car is in need of a tune-up that I dont really have the money for. We were thinking of going up with the caravan and then flying back down...I'm thinking that it looks like we'll have to fly both ways though because people cant seem to get their act together around here...

    so does alaska, and they're a much nicer flight. Only thing though, I;m not working this month, and the tickets will be about 200+ each...I'll be working in July, but if we head south for comic con, I'm not sure how far my money will be able to stretch...I mean, I AM living at home with mom and dad, so food and rent are not worries...but theres the whole lack of working for an entire month...

    I wish I could fly but my city is so fucking small I would have to drive 3hours south to sacramento to fly north.

    :edit:

    Nevermind, silly me. I can fly to Portland then to Seattle.

    But then I also need to get a hotel room.

    Hey guys. Just thought I'd bring it to your attention that the more people we have going to PAX via the West Coast Supertrip, the less expensive it will be for everyone. There's going to be a set amount everyone needs to chip in for gas and such for the drivers, but I can guarantee you it won't be anywhere near as much as a plane ticket.

    For more info, click my sig image.
