Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Ok, it's Sunday.. I've got nothing to do, I'm bored out of my mind and I've played all my current games to death.
Recommend me some games that can be downloaded from xbox live, psn and steam.
I already own: (games that can be downloaded)
PSN: WipEout HD (and fury, stopped playing this because of the video ads), Street Fighter 2 HD
Steam: Half-Life 2, Ep 1 & Ep 2, Portal, Secret of Monkey Island SE, Counter-Strike + Source, Day of defeat, Half-Life & Source, HL Blue Shift, HL Opposing Force, Sin 1, Sin Episodes (which is funny since there's only the one), Team Fortress 2 + Classic, X3 Reunion.
I've never bothered downloading games from xbox live before because my xboxes hard drive is a paltry 20GB drive.

You have to be more specific because Steam has a lot of games.
For example, the following are awesome games on Steam:
Deus Ex
Call of Duty
The Longest Journey
Crysis
Splinter Cell and Chaos Theory
Braid
Max Payne and Max Payne 2
Fallout and Fallout 2
X-COM and Terror From the Deep
Psychonauts
Dead Space
Mirror's Edge
IL-2: Sturmovik
KOTOR
GTA 4
The Witcher
Audiosurf
King's Bounty: Armored Princess
Beyond Good and Evil
All the STALKER games
All the Hitman games except Hitman 2
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Men of War

Just looking at videos of some of the games, Castle Crashers looks like a really fun game. Is it out on the PS3 yet? I ask this because multiplayer looks fun and I only have a XBL silver account. (I refuse to pay for gold)

Heh, I just booted up Blood Curse yesterday for the first time in ages. Don't know why even. Watched the end. What a badass and crazy ending that game had.
Seeing as the thread's titled "recommend me games, stat", and I also didn't think it was worth making its own thread for, here goes...
I want you guys to recommend a good western RPG for me, a-la Oblivion. Been looking for a decent one for quite some time, and I've played Oblivion so much it's entirely boring to me now. As for platforms, PS3 is preferred, but 360 and PC are also options.

The Witcher, Dragon Age: Origins, KOTOR, Mass Effect and ME2, Risen...
Well mainly there's Fallout 3 which is pretty much "Oblivion with guns".
And then there are the Gothic games and their spiritual sequel Risen which are balls-to-the-wall hard with no hand holding whatsoever. They just drop you in a ruthless world where the first wolf you meet makes lunch out of you.

If you haven't played Morrowind, that would be a good next step. I would assume you have, but you didn't mention it, so I thought I'd suggest it just to be sure.
Ok, bought Flower and I've been playing it for the last hour. Not sure whether it's worth £6 but it's a really interesting game. It's like a concept game or something.
EDIT: I already own Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Mad balls in babo invasion is pretty fun from what I've played of it. Plus it's the weekend deal on steam so it's dirt cheap. Their is also a demo and free weekend to try it out. However I think the free weekend is just about over, because when I bought it this morning it only had 3 hours left.

Geometry Wars Redux or Plus or whatever?
Castle Crashers
Pac Man Championship Edition is a must have for all breathing units
It also broke my brain with the diagonal movement.
Castle Crashers and Geometry Wars were pretty great though.
I'm very near trashing it myself but I figured others may like it. It's too damn random for me.
The first Puzzle Quest was double plus fun tho.
Oh, if Might and Magic Clash of Heroes is up on Live DO GET. It's an amazing game.

A million times this.
Fuck, I might need to reinstall this.
If you haven't played it...

Everything he said + Sam & Max
Also, Trine, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Torchlight, and XCOM. You have a lot of gaming ahead of you, sir.
I'm beginning to suspect the same holds true for Bloodlines.
Speaking of which, time for a new game. I don't think I ever finished a Brujah runthrough before.

Get batman problem solved.
I should really go back to trying to beat the trial things but iPad games are so damn cheap and plentiful.
This is now a bloodlines thread. Have any good mods come out for this? I know there were a couple that cleaned stuff up, but have there been any more?
Yep, I've got batman AA for the PS3.

for starters. Two very different but very fun little gems which will only set you back a grand total of about £1.30 between them. Enjoy!

There are over 900 games on Indie games now, these are two of my favourites.

Football Manager 2010 (Assuming you enjoy footy)
"The Passing" may come out next week !
Team Fortress 2
The most interesting multi-FPS game ever !
And some other great games:
Batman:Arkham Asylum
BioShock
Company of Heroes
DiRT 2
Empire:Total War
Far Cry
Mass Effect
I feel that a mouse is mandatory for Trine. Plus, there's a demo on Steam, so you can't really go wrong with it.
It's the same as the PC version, only it looks totally fucking shitty. Seriously, google "Risen 360/PC comparison" and you'll see what I mean.
Shadow Complex on Live
Trine, Sam and Max, Freedom Force, Lucasarts adventure games, and Torchlight on Steam

Plants vs Zombies is a bundle of fun.
And Team Fortress 2 will solve your boredom problem. I've been known to drop staggering amounts of time into that game.
