like, a single player rpg, in the vein of oblivion, but with much more visceral, ability-based combat and really, really varied environments. and huge battles between the various armies and such.

i'll tell you what they need to fucking make is a goddamn new mutant league football game.
Alternatively they can port the tabletop 40k into a fucking strategy game with randomly generated environments (with the ability to use pre-mades), and like they are doing with DoW2, you can purchase characters to use in the game. So you are still spending a lot of money, just not as much along, with the time and effort to set up your army.
Got your basic armies available from the start, then get your variants from some kind of campaign unlocks, dlc unit sets and additional armies come with expansions. Simple shit people.

Its a CCG with everything I usually hate about flash games: AP restricted number of actions, pay to play hooks, etc.
But having a hand of 3 cards and choosing which one to play (game doesn't play for you), along with duels not using AP, a raid mechanic, multiple ways to earn cards, and the ability to earn gold (slowly) to get most every card has me hooked. Pretty sure this is made by the same people that did Warstorm and its ilk, but this one avoids alot of the pitfalls of the previous games.
