Dell Download Manager?

A friend of mine was attempting to throw Windows 7 onto an older laptop of his.
Windows 7 says he needs to update his Bios.

So we went to the Dell site, found his laptop and the Bios updates.
Downloading ANYTHING prompts the download of the Dell Download Manager.
This is fine and all, but whenever this manager is opened it simply says "no downloads have been selected" and it simply closes, nothing to do about it.

Has anyone dealt with the Dell site before? I want to slap some people over this.

Edit: It seems to work on my rig however, strange.

Toss it up to his laptop being ancient.

Mmmm... Cocks... on

In my exp with Dell it should ask you if you want to use the Dell down load manger or to download through your browser. I have never had any luck with the Dell Down load manager.

If it doesn't give you that option try deleting the cookies in your browser and going back to the support site or use a different browser.

That's what I've done in the past.
