Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
I was wondering what the nearest Airport is and what forms of transportation are available between said airport and the convention.
I'm losely considering coming but I'd have to fly in from Kansas and seeing as I'm not 25 I can't get a rental car, so any information will help me on the road to a decision.
Hey, SWEET. I can get there on Southwest for like... $350 bucks!
Anyone done better with deals? Cause If I can't keep the total cost of the trip below $500 for me and my girl the money will definately be the deciding factor for me.
Better yet, anyone know when PAX-E(ast) is happening?
I'll be coming in from New Jersey, and I got a roundtrip ticket for just under $300 on Continental Airlines. Here's a tip. Search for flights on Expedia or Orbitz. Find the cheapest flight, and then go to that airline's website, and do the same search there. It'll save you even more money. I'm coming in from a much farther distance than Kansas, so it seems like there should be much cheaper flights than $350.
Also, if you are staying in the Doubletree hotel that they're giving a discount on, it said on their website you can get a shuttle to the hotel for $16. There's also a bus route that will take you just about to the hotel.

Very good information, I appreciate. I would however like to correct you and say that, although kansas is closer it is also less crowded and there isn't much demand for flights in general so individual tickets cost more because the flights are less crowded. Basically I get screwed over any way you look at it.
The Seattle area is all about the busses too. If you don't have a lot of cash you can use the buses to get just about anywhere in greater Seattle for under 2 bucks.
Here's a link on planning a bus trip. It's pretty easy to use if you know what address you want to be at.
The closest airport is Sea-Tac Airport which is probably about a 30-45 minute drive away from the convention in Bellevue depending on traffic.
It's actually only a 20-30 minute drive.
or less if your willing to speed. There are a couple of hotels near the Meydenbauer center and I'm sure most of them have some type of shuttle service. As someone already pointed out double tree does.
