May be a stretch but how would I get access to the guild bank? I'm grinding enchanting and engineering and there are some mats and patterns in there I can use.

I can see everything, yet access nothing. Before I left last year I had good access.

I'm authenticated so no one can rob us through me.

Talk to one of the officers and they'll give you access. It's pretty much all leveling mats and random meat products.

I'm thinking of starting a sort of raid training wheels type run on an off night since we do seem to have some fresh 80s who might be interested in raiding. Ideally bring a mix of veteran players (mains or alts, whatever) and new people. We'd start out with some of the early WotLK raids and work out way up. That way we can kind of ease people into an environment where they'll still be tasked with handling mechanics more complex than standing still and pew pewing, but where they still have some room to make mistakes without causing major problems. The idea here being that newer players can get used to playing their class in a raid environment without the pressure of trying to keep up in an ICC run since the veterans on the run will be able to pick up any slack. It also lets the vets on the runs see how well the newer people are doing in a situation where we don't have to worry about an ICC run getting weighed down.

For the record, I am ALWAYS down for a Naxx run. Also, there's the matter of that Ulduar progression raid we never finsihed. I believe Celic still has it saved.

I think KT or Flame Butthole has been a weekly since then, I believe that overrides the lockout.

I have some of the triumph stuff. I grabbed the cheap stuff(rings, trinkets) and have 1 piece of that tier set and I have done raiding and stuff in the past so I know kinda what to do and would be up for whatever I could get in to.

I just went through our member list, these are the fresh 80's.

Koldanar - Paladin Tank - Gear looks good, probably ready for the first wing of ICC
Remission - Prot/Holy Paladin - Needs T9 and Frozen Halls gear to be ICC Ready
Katchal - Holy Paladin - Needs T9 and Frozen Halls gear
Dagon - Disc Priest - Ready for first wing, needs a few small upgrades like trinkets
Langly - Mage - Has 2pc T9, Needs Frozen Halls gear
Locjen - Shaman - Ready, has raided with us in the past
Mellifluous - DK - Needs T9 and Frozen Halls gear
Phidget - Mage - First wing ready
Zhurai - Druid - Possibly first wing ready, no T9 but a bunch of Frozen Halls gear

I think it's reasonable to expect a member interested in ICC to have at least 4 pieces of T9 or equivalent, and the rest of the slots 219 or higher. That's Heroic TOC, and Regular and Heroic Frozen Halls gear. That will show that they are dedicated to being a valuable member of the raiding party, and not just there to get dragged along for some easy gear.

I am sending these 9 people in game mails to see if they are interested in raiding. If they are, I'll let them know what they need to work on to be ready for us to take them. It's not fair to Celic to leave this on his shoulders. If Koldanar, Dagon, Locjen, Phidget or Zhurai tell me that they are interested, I'll make sure that they get added to the list of people we invite every week.

They probably won't get invite for Sunday, because we really need to bring our A game and get some good shots in on Arthas.

Are we hitting Arthas? It seems like we keep saying that but every week we just end up farming the 3 wings instead.

In any event, I've got to hit Des Moines tomorrow morning to pick up my suit so I may or may not be home in time for raiding. If I see Celic around I'll drop kick him for y'all.

Because each week we've been bringing along a new person or two who isn't quite ready for Arthas, and would benefit from the metric butt ton of badges you get from a 3 wing clear. We've also had a couple of Wednesdays where we didn't have enough people to clear 2-3 wings of ICC so that we could go punch Arthas on a Sunday.

Koldanar is ready for everything. He was OT for Sindy last week.

Tomorrow the ideal would be to clear through Sindy and get a few shots at LK. We'd probably extend the lockout to try to get him down next Sunday then. Wednesday would be probably ToC/VoA/weekly.

Yea, with the 30% buff I should be more than ready for OT on the Arthas fight right now. Next week I should manage 2pc T10 as well; only weak slot left then is my belt...everything else will be ilvl 232 or up !

As many found out on the guild channel yesterday, I had no idea that there was a T9 vendor for Triumph badges until someone else mentioned purchasing them. :oops:

So yeah, I was buying all that other gear, completely ignorant of what vendor I should be hitting up. The good news was that the only actual pieces of armor I bought were the shoulders and helmet... the helm I'll keep and the shoulders I can stash for the future if/when I start moving into the next tier.

Other good news is that, after the (very successful!) TOC 10-man yesterday I went and bought my T9 chest, so I have at least one piece going for me. I also have more than 70 frost badges and need to figure out what I'm going to do with that, and I went through and fixed my Resto spec as I realized it was a bit sloppy and out of date.

So what I'm saying here is that I'm ready! At least, ready to get invites for early wings.

I'd really like to see one of the healers on that list get their gear together. With all of the shit going on IRL and raiding ICC on three separate characters every week (soon to be four, Altohol is a powerful drug) I am burnt out. I'm not going to ditch before the expansion like everyone else is doing, but it would be nice to have an off week every now and then without worrying aboot letting you guys down.

If we can cover me at the other positions I'd step in and heal for you on my shaman or paladin as needed.

Yeah that'd be pretty awesome if we could actually accomplish that... I've never managed to complete any story arcs before the next expansion came out before!

So last night was my first glimpse at ICC, and it seemed like the game was telling us we need a Shaman in the raid, heh. Still, I think my gearscore jumped by like 500 points.

Much thanks to Creidhe, Noisymunk, and probably others that I didn't notice in all the chatter for enchants and gem contributions; you are entitled to many flasks from me in return as well as transmutes if you need 'em!

Assuming Hoegi doesn't steal the transmute cooldowns first.

What we've been hearing and seeing in feedback and videos from other guilds is that Ruby Sanctum as an encounter is at least on par with Lich King for difficulty. There is a heck of a lot of strategy to learn, and the loot for 10 man normal is kind of disappointing.

Basically, if you don't have a group that can kill Arthas with a minimum of fuss, you are probably not ready for Ruby Sanctum.

Also, we sure ARE working on LK right now. We're in the difficult process of trying to replace 2 very good players that we lost, just as we were really starting to work on phase 2. At the same time, we're taking care of getting these new members geared to have a larger pool of raiders to select from on raid nights.
