So some nutter in the U.K., Dr. Brett Mills, has recently published an article claiming that animals have a right to privacy and that nature documentaries violate that right. The kicker? This nutbag isn't even a biologist. He's a faculty member of the University of East Anglia's school of film and television studies.

Animals don't care about privacy. When I watched that otter video in that other thread, I was like "Wow, I'd feel really awkward having a bunch of people videotaping me while I play with rocks." But those otters didn't feel awkward at all.
It's like, you can't video tape me in my home or through my windows, but once I go outside, I don't have an expectation of privacy

Cats are terrible. Whenever I'd start messing around with my last girlfriend, our cat would hop up and want attention. When we tried locking him out of the room, he'd spend the whole time scratching at the door.
While it's bloated, doomed to financially implode, and way to reaching, at least healthcare reform and universal healthcare is something important. We already pay for healthcare for those without it via taxes or the extreme costs and charges to those of us with healthcare.
