Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
A blu-ray is coming out on the 17th that I want to see, but it's Europe (region B blu-ray) only, and the only blu-ray players I have in the house are my PS3 and a Sony blu-ray player. Is there any way to make my american PS3 play a region B blu-ray? Or do I have to buy a region-free blu-ray player? Really don't want to spend 300 bucks for one movie, but I'm absolutely dying to see it.
Also near as I can see this movie is coming out in June in the US. I guess I'll be waiting.
In theatres and on demand, but its being put out by IFC so that means LA/NY only, probably never expanding (cant remember the last time an IFC movie went big), and on demand only if you have time warner cable. Probably won't be on U.S. DVD/BR markets till August.

Yes, for games. For movies it's not.
Because you could rip it and encode it in a format the PS3 can stream.
EDIT: From where are you ordering this? I think I need to see this.
There's a good list here: http://www.dvdworldusa.com/bluraylist.asp?sortby=multiregion
Valhalla Rising doesn't seem to be on it though.

Ignore the stupid cover art, it's to get money from the 300 crowd since this was a pretty low budget indie flick.
I found that, but it's just the regular dvd.
I also kinda groaned at the cover art. Like I've done enough research to know what this is about so I kinda did a 'WTF?' when I saw it.
Meh, can always Photoshop a GOOD cover for myself. 8-)
Ripping is not piracy. Downloading it because you're too lazy/can't rip it with your PS3 is.
Unless you have Linux on your PS3, there's no legal way for you to obtain a playable copy without buying new hardware.
