Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Looking for an old Gauntlet-like game [Solved please close]
There was a PC game that was insanely similar to Gauntlet, down to classes, dungeons, and all that jazz. It basically admitted to being a clone/ ripoff, but it was fantastic as a mindless time waster. It was for PC only. I'd love to find it again but I can't find the name, and I can't find the game name by searching for "Gauntlet-like" on google. Please help, I thank you!
Dropping Loads on
Sceptre: Penny Arcade, where you get starcraft AND marriage advice.
3clipse: The key to any successful marriage is a good mid-game transition.

Was it slightly comic? How long ago are we talking?
"At first he thought it might be a natural occurrence - maybe a rabbit. But upon closer inspection, it was clear a knife had been used. And rabbits don't carry knives."
It was comic. Overhead view, same as the ORIGINAL gauntlet, as opposed to the newer 3/4 isometric or 3D games. I remember playing it before 2002. It had a level editor. Classes similar to Elf, Wizard, etc.

Nox and Diablo are both children of this game type, but the game I'm looking for was a bit simpler. It was basically a straight up gauntlet clone, straight from the roller-skating rink floor to your PC. There was no equipment, just straight up weapon upgrade power ups, potions, keys, and food.

I remember the game you're talking about, but not the name of it. It was late 90s I think...

I know! So annoying that I can't remember it. My brain thinks it started with "S" or "C". I always played the elf, because shooting through corners was so damn powerful.
