Not only was it extremely easy to avoid the whatevers left over by the shardspawn, but Baal had like...NO hp
After killing baal I thought it would be a good idea to venture into the uberquest/whatever type stuff. I headed out to kurast for what I assume is the easiest one, and couldn't kill a single totem before getting killed by the surrounding invulnerable mobs. T.T
If anyone would be so kind as to give me a good fun Paladin build that isn't hammer. This is for a brand new character and account, starting from scratch.

Holy Freeze Zealot is pretty fun, and will work with pretty bad gear (Holy Shock too, though I think Freeze is better for untwinked because of its defensive advantages). I posted about mine a page or two ago. Your other main non-hammer options are Fanaticism Zealot, Conviction + Vengeance, and some silliness with Holy Bolt + FoH, all of which will be tougher untwinked.
I'd be glad to start up with you; I now want to start a lightning trapsin, and I have a Leap Barbarian just at the beginning of A2.
Ronya: managed to get a hold of Tiamat's Rebuke and Gore Striders. Countess runs are much smoother now. Countess runs also refuse to fund much other than A MILLION BILLION SPIRIT RUNEWORDS. >=[
A cheap fun pally build is conviction with zeal and voice of reason in a phase blade and whatever else you want with your extra points (20 conviction, 1 zeal, prereqs, go crazy--FOH is cool). The only problem is a lack of leech.

I'm running a Vengeance paladin and its going very well. I can't kill multiple mobs at once, but I can tank Baal no problem. My only weakness is my merc, who dies ALL THE TIME in Nightmare and Hell.
Been testing a Fist of Heavens/Holy Bolt/Fire Ball pally now that I have all the goods and it's a pretty fun so far.
FoH with Conviction toasts everything in Chaos in one shot, Venom Lords in two shots, with a dozen Holy Bolts seeking out Doom Knights one or twoshotting them as well. Fire Ball unsurprisingly does little, uh, it can kill mobs in normal I suppose? Something else for a change. Hammerdins and Meteorbs get old after a while.
Most pickits try to capture items in a range. You'll still get items that are worth keeping, but are worthless if that makes sense. You wouldn't want your bot to sell an item because it was off by a skill, but had perfect mods on the rest.
It's just better to keep all the potential items, then possibly sell something you'd regret. The default pickit for D2NT is really really bad btw, even the elite one.

Probably eth bug+Dream/Delirium for a merc. Like I said, the default pickit files are usually trash, it's well worth the hour or so it takes to go through and modify the files.
LLD pickits are also worth looking into, only items I've bothered to sell so far.
Well, the pickit file I'm using I got from the edgeofnowhere forums. I went through and did a little editing, but I'm not really sure on what is worth keeping in terms of rares/magic weapons and the such. It would seem that the person that made this one doesn't either.

Heart of the Oak (Hand of Blessed Light or Spirit is fine too)
Enigma (otherwise going through River of Flame is a pita. Naj's Puzzler works too I suppose.)
Spirit shield (Dragonscale for hilarity)
Trang-Oul's Claws (Fireball baby!)
Trang-Oul's Girth (Cannot be frozen is a nice bonus)
Aldur's Advance (or Infernostride for the purty Blaze)
Mara's Kaleidoscope (Seraph's Hymn works too)
2 Bul-Kathos Wedding Band (or Nagelrings for extra mf)
Pally Torch and Anni (invaluable for any pally mage)
FoH does around 4-5k damage, compounded with Conviction it deals over 10k with 5k Holy Bolts shooting all over the place. Holy Bolt can be used to kill Lightning immune Doom Knight uniques.
Diablo is still a pita, but will go down in under a minute. Just have to tele the merc out of his Firestorm or he will die. His pink lightning hose is surprisingly tame.
Light sorcs, Javazons and Trappers are probably better at clearing Chaos, but meh, screw them. And Infinity.

Still a respectable 75 crushing blow without sacrificing much. Shield can be anything. Always wanted to try Phoenix...
Guillaume's + Gore Rider + smiting with CtA might work better. One-point Fanaticism and run that. You might have to make CtA in a phase blade.
Use Exile for the shield, maybe. Life tap!
Let's see... lvl. 13 Fanaticism still reaches 6fpa smite!
Also, I'd have, like, 12 hotkeys lol.
Why a Scourge? Phase Blades have faster speed. And Call to Arms works just as well in a Phase Blade.
Coincidentally, you can link 12 hotkeys...
