follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

eeesh, that seems like a horrible place to work
thankfully I work at a restaurant there that's right outside of the main complex, so I am able to make decent money and not have to deal with some of the types that dwell within Lloyd Center
but still, damn
And Yuki on 14th and Broadway is good too. And Sushiland is in between the two.
To be fair, the doners themselves are pretty average, and they're $7 too which is sort of silly, but if anyone in portland is ever like "holy crap I need a doner right now to remind me of bein in Germany" or something, there's a place for you. Also I think they're open till 4 AM on weekends or something so that is also cool
sigh
Indiana
sigh
Went out and got burgers/saw a show with Swill on my last night in Portland.
He a cool dude.
I hate your rain. I hate your refusal to provide adequate freeways. I hate your bicyclists who give me the finger because I couldn't see their tiny little recumbent. I hate your nearby coast that is always freezing, even if I go there in August, and which never has girls in bikinis. I hate your fat chicks. I hate your rain. I hate that when it's not raining, you still can't do anything because it will probably rain soon. I hate your summers that are beautiful just long enough to get Californians to think this would be a great place to live but will still rain on the weekends. I hate that you have all this water, but it only turns into snow every other year, and usually only for a day or two. I hate that your trees are green all the time, and so autumn to spring is one long dreary gray sludge. I hate your meth epidemic. I hate that after two weeks of straight rain I can understand the need to shoot up with poison. I hate your 19 hour drive to see the sun.
TL;DR: Hate
God dang Californians. Don't understand that moving to the Rocky mountains means dealing with feet of snow from October to March (give or take)

whaaaaaaaaat
I actually really like LA from what I've seen (which is incomprehensible to most Californians but fuck it) but I'd need $millions to live there.
Would move is also difficult, I am picky, and right now I am digging the sunshine and am still in my California honeymoon period (again, incomprehensible to many Californians who can do nothing but rave about Seattle)
I am actually very happy with the Bay Area
I would not move any further inland
I would not move back to the UK at this point, no way
Why?!
SERIOUSLY
so, I was closing at work tonight and everyone else had already left so I was alone in the building
as I'm closing out the credit card charges, I look up and see a running car parked right outside, facing me with its headlights on
just for reference, this was over an hour after we had already closed, most of the lights were turned off, the neon "open" sign was off, all the other stores in the shopping center were either vacant or closed, the only other car in the entire parking lot was mine, and they hadn't ever come out of the car or tried to make me aware of their prescence
the storefront is all windows and a glass door, I'm in clear view of this guy
naturally I'm a tad suspicious, so I decided stick around for a while with the doors locked and watch the car
ten minutes passed and the car hadn't moved except to make extremely slow circles in the parking lot in front of the building
now I am genuinely freaking out
I called my dad at this point and explained the situation to him
he shows up a few minutes later and comes inside the store, where we continue to scope things out
after a while, with the car still alternatively staying parked and milling about, my dad goes outside and the car slowly takes off
so all in all this strange car spent about a good thirty minutes terrorizing me
like, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if I find out tomorrow that there's been a break-in

I'm always down for stuff in PDX. Especially if anyone wants to go rock climbing!

It couldn't have been, there would have been boomboxes involved.
Glad to hear you didn't get dead, Koshian!
