So what if I steal everything off the car but leave you with the chassis in the parking spot, vandalism?

But I actually know where Stale parks. I could go push his car off the blocks right now.

Give him a ride to work.

Or Stale could just call in Crippled.

i believe the insurance companies label it vandalism because of fraud. i've -ahem- seen it run rampant in FL.

but you still need to file a report. theft is theft and maybe you can appeal to the insurance company. but a $2500 deduc? fuck.

That's his own doing. Sometimes it pays to have a high deductible, and other times it rapes you in the corn hole.

yeah, i kept mine at $500 because stupid shit, and people, happen to me all the time.

alright stale, you have no more excuses.

    spinners are a go.

Every other deduc is at 500.

I'm not entirely sure if the "vandalism" was even an option. It's through travelers.

The only thing that will fix this is the scotch treatment.
Pick one of these and drink until you don't care anymore.

Because that would mean that the insurance company would actually have to pay. Do you realize how much money they'd lose if they actually payed for this stuff?

only to the insurance company. you still file a report with the police.

y'know. i'm not entirely sure what happens if they catch the guys. i guess then you'd appeal to the insurance company with an arrest report if they can't recover the property.

but the deduc issue renders it moot.

I live in a pretty nice part of Brooklyn, and one morning my roommate came out to discover her car on the lean. As in they took the tires from just one side. And they left the jack underneath, so she had to take it to a mechanic to make sure there was no damage.

And it was the day before she was going to hand it off to a guy she sold it to.

Your last deck had cameras on every floor. Does your current spot not have one in that little area? Are there not cameras on all of the gates? Is there one universal gate code, or are they assigned by tenant? I thought your last one corresponded to your apartment number. I mean, I know it's not all that hard to tail someone through those gates.

Also, I'm out Friday-Sunday evening for the wedding, but if you need a ride somewhere any other day and Nikki isn't available, let me know.

It's clearly on three blocks. Tripods are nature's most stable form.

And look at that parking job. Way over the line. I would've ripped your wheels off just for that.

I think it is three, but they look like decorative bricks used for making retaining walls, in which case adding more support would be a really good idea.

    appreciate it

and no, there are no cameras under building 6, a fact which I made very clear to the property manager while he was standing next to my vehicle. He seemed to "get it", but that doesn't help me one bit.

and there should be cameras at each gate, minimal, but I don't think theres any cameras on the side gate. Which seems a little foolish, since thats the gate that non-residents have to use. The gate codes are assigned to each tenant, but the fucking code is your apartment number.

it's largely useless to even have the gates.

Well, in that case, I'm going to go ahead and guess they don't log code entries either. Still, you should ask. We can compare entry time to the security footage time. Then we can go kneecap whoever lives in that apartment, even if the thieves just typed random numbers.
