    Theft isn't covered by most insurance companies. I know progressive only covers it if you pay an extra deductible or get home/renters insurance.

    i believe the insurance companies label it vandalism because of fraud. i've -ahem- seen it run rampant in FL.

    but you still need to file a report. theft is theft and maybe you can appeal to the insurance company. but a $2500 deduc? fuck.
