now that I've started it a second time, this game is hard locking a lot

if I'm in a screen with a cursor, I can move it around, but can't change anything

only way I can get out is to CAD

I knocked one down when I was throwing a refrigerator and there was a safe behind it. Then I go visit a few other places. More safes hiding behind framed pictures.

This happened to me a few times, turns out it was something weird with input. Right-clicking while in the offending menu always fixed it.

I only learned about this after I beat the game, myself

Yeah is it wrong that I would like to play a mod for Deus Ex like this

I didn't use the ironsights in HR at all.

It's mapped to the middle mouse button, and it's a...ugh...toggle.

I mainly used them with the combat rifle, the tranq dart gun, and the laser gun

so, I'm going to do a new run of DX:HR, and I gotta ask

should I even try the Revolver? The normal, upgradable pistol just seems better in every way, but maybe using the Revolver in junction with the stungun or the PEPS is more challenging/fun?

The revolver is a fun and very powerful weapon

But really, if you're just looking for the path of least resistance, the normal pistol is better

It doesn't really matter how much damage the revolver deals, when the normal pistol gets an upgrade that ignores armor

Ammo is quite common for the revolver though, so you can use that instead if you want to make it more challenging, since it doesn't have a silencer

why would you use iron sights, though? you can't use iron sights when you're in cover, and if you're not in cover you're probably going to die

there are moments where you can get a few seconds to aim

trying to shoot from cover is a huge crapshoot in terms of accuracy

Damn, glad I downloaded that patch, because the load times were getting ridiculous.

I guess Steam didn't want me to have it, though, because they usually auto-download whenever there's an update, or at least prompts. But I had to manually check for updates to get it.

I was amazed by that patch

Shorter load times and mouse sluggishness gone, both issues I had with the game fixed within the first two or three days of it's release. Now that's service!

In other news I continue to hate myself for looking at Rock Paper Shotgun's comment pages

The tip to beating the 3rd boss is to bring a turret with you. After a few tries and a buildup of frustration, I loaded up the previous autosave and fetched one. Worked like a charm.

The final boss was straight up dumb as fuck. Pretty easy but ugh so dissapointing. The whole last level was, actually. Weak ending. I wanted to see your choices affect the outcome, not your choice then and there on what button to press. Ugh.

I took the turret into the 3rd boss on my 2nd run expecting it to tear him up, and the first thing he does is toss an EMP grenade and fry it. Bastard.

I then threw a bunch of frag and gas mines at his feet and he died rather quickly. Kind of anti-climactic.

That you can indeed save the hostages that are tied up in Sarif shipping plant? I guess I took too long dicking around the area in the beginning, because at some point David said something about 'the situation getting worse' beacuse I took too long. If so, I may start a new game.

Yes. There's nothing at Sarif headquarters that you'll miss if you go directly to the plant and search later.
