I like the Colbert Report, but find that the interviews are often even more polarizing than Jon's, which is to say that I'll usually watch Jon's interview with some interest almost no matter who it is, Colbert's are either pure gold (like when he had Dean Kamen on in early April showing off a new prosthetic arm that kicked ass) or really boring. Also, he's started having more musical guests on, and I'm rarely interested in them so on the up side that makes it easier to get to bed before midnight.

Man colbert is awesome
I often just skip stewart's interviews simply because they're very often pretty boring
And did you see that BP CEO scene monday?
How could you NOT love colbert afterwards?
where does it say that stephan colbert is a jesus lover?
Although by his own account he was not particularly political before joining the cast of The Daily Show, Colbert is a self-described Democrat.[75][76] In an interview at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard Institute of Politics, he stated that he has "no problems with Republicans, just Republican policies."[77] He is also a practicing Roman Catholic,[15] as well as a Sunday school teacher.[78][79][80]

Stewart and Colbert are two different flavors. I like them both very much, but I can have a hard time with Stewart laughing at his own jokes and not letting people speak in interviews.

Honestly, being a catholic sunday school teacher does not indicate "JESUS FREAK". Most of the adults in the congregation will teach Sunday school at one time or another.

Did you just complain about Stewart not letting people speak in interviews in comparison to Colbert?

I fucking loved the Colbert Report during the writer's strike
In fact I loved a lot of late night programs during the writer's strike
Stewart's got this sincerity about him that really makes me respect what he has to say, while Colbert is just a little too caught up in his character to get the same points across
also I cannot stand watching Colbert's interviews
Stewart will occasionally get on his high horse when interviewing someone he doesn't particularly agree with, but Colbert's almost always insufferable
why have a guest if you're not going to let them talk about what they're there for?
Ok, really guys, picking who is better between Colbert and Stewart is like deciding would you like a blowjob and then to be given a million dollars, or to be given a million dollars and then a blowjob.

Instead it's just a HUR HUR WE HATE REPUBLICANS echo chamber like Stewart's audience
Ideally they should cut the audience altogether
THIS FUCKING GUY
I disagree. I think both shows work with a live audience, and that if either of them could cut it, it's the Daily Show.
Colbert's cult of personae schtick just simply works so much better with fans in the audience.
Not when they spoil the act

how bout that
oh yeah well I bet you're a Republican
[30 seconds of thunderous applause and hooting]
Yeah man it's pretty impossible to respect anyone who respects Jesus.
Basically you're a silly goose.
Air is terrible
this sounds like a set up
I don't have enough clever bones in my body for a set-up.

There are citations for those facts as well.
Again... why is this a bad thing?

Faith is a choice, though. If you've never considered the alternatives, how can you say you really made that choice?
