There's a bitch of a storm rolling through here that's dropped like a foot of rain on us since early this morning. The yard and driveway (unpaved) are mush, the pool is fucked up, and we can't get any signal for our satellite TV. And the power keeps fading and snapped off twice an hour ago.

Tuesday I found out I passed my PE exam and am now a licensed professional engineer in Texas! It comes with a promotion and big bonus which will push me almost to the point I need to pay for a wedding (meaning I can finally propose to my incredible girl). Life is pretty good right now.

life isn't too bad for me right now!

organizing a thing so I'll hopefully get to meet a bunch of you jerks in missouri

in a few months I'll be moving to an awesome city, where my life will dramatically change

once I'm up there I'll be continuing my education after a gap year and I'll get the chance to meet a bunch of really cool forumers native to the area

so yeah, exciting stuff!

I've been getting a ton of overtime over the last couple months, I've effectively doubled my starting pay over the 3-ish years I've been working at my current employer, and may get my own office in the next month or two. Next month I get a free week in Orlando for training so I can hang out with some friends I haven't seen in a while and do some dinner.

Also made plans to start aggressively paying down my debts

(and I'm getting an iPhone 4)


Life is pretty good. Only realy downside is two of my best friends moved away but I'm happy for'em.

just put the initial payment on a 2br condo last week, gonna close and move in second week of july. the place is across the street from a metro station two stops from where i work now, which is supersweet. gonna be the first place i'll own, which is both awesome and kinda scary/intimidating

and its a pretty day outside, world cup starts soon, so you think you can dance is in full swing, doing decent at work to the point where i'm doing mucho overtime and making that good money, and i'm gonna go out to get ice cream later today!
