That reminds me that I never actually claimed my Shaymin after unlocking it at the event they held last year in the UK.

Shit, I haven't even claimed my Darkrai from the platinum wifi event last year. I remember why as well...it wouldn't work. I got the member's key or whatever it is that unlocks the house, but it stil lgave me the same old message about it being locked. I never did figure out why it wasn't working.

Would you like to learn how to RNG? I really want a Modest Darkrai that comes from a legit wondercard.

I've RNG before, but I need to figure out why it doesn't actually unlock first. I think maybe I had to fight Cressalia or something first.

Ah, that's the one you actually fight, never mind then. I still have Ink's Modest one, even if it has 10 speed. It can work with a Choice Scarf.

And man I need some way to check IVs properly and consistently. The Rare Candy method is totally worthless.

I mean, in terms of Physical walls, you're going to need something can resist both Ground and Fighting, and probably Rock, because those are the real terrors in terms of Physical attacks.

But most of the really defensive Pokemon have Steel/Rock type, which kinda defeats the point.

I think switching a Gengar in on Earthquake/Cross Chop might be a decent idea. >_>

I'm thinking of setting up a Calm Mind slowbro, especially since its typing gives it a fighting/steel resist and a ground/rock neutral

    Plus it's got 95/110 HP/DEF

But I dunno if I like slowbro that much

Just glanced at Serebii before heading to Bulbagarden.

Black and White apparently has a Luvdisc evolution in it.

I'm still hoping for some evos/baby forms for the rest of the Gen I series single evolutions.

I mean, why can't Farfetch'd get a second stage evo in thirteen years while we've got seven damned Eeveelutions?

I'd wager we'll get Ghost and Dragon Eeveelutions this time around.

I just don't want them to forget the number of pokemon who only evolve once or not at all in the older games.

Regirock, Registeel, Steelix, Forretress, Bronzong, Hippowdon, Weezing, Cresselia, Suicune, Gliscor, Torterra and Tangrowth are decent physical walls/tanks. They also cover a decently broad variety of types.

Obviously, there's more than what I listed, but these guys have fairly high combinations of HP/Defense.

I'm not sure this is the right thread to ask this in, but it's been a long time since I've been around (or playing pokemon for that matter), so please forgive me. I'm looking for a Beldum, since Metang in the safari zone (soul silver) is about as easy to catch as Loch ness is in real life, and Beldum won't be dropping by for at least 70 days. >.< I don't have too much to offer, if some kind breeder soul has an extra beldum lying around, litterally any will do....

...unless someone knows how to catch Metang in a way that doesn't involve me sacrificing a virgin to a pagan deity...

    Weezing.

Poison resists Fighting and Levitate makes it immune to ground. The only SE attack you need to worry about is Psychic.

Weezing's problem is still poor recovery though. Rest + cheri or pain split isn't tremondously attractive recovery.

I have a lot of trouble thinking up new walls, there aren't that many worth using. More than any other type you'll generally see the same small pool of walls used over and over again.

Weezing's low HP and SpDef (for a wall/tank, at least) is why it never stuck as a premier tank.

Zapdos can be a pretty good physical OR special tank. That typing is crazy good for the most part, plus it naturally learns Roost (which saves you a TM - a nifty asset to account for).

Discharge/Heat Wave/Roost/Substitute is a pretty good tanky set once you get rid of Swampert and Flygon.

I'm loathe to use a stealth rock weak wall. That + 1 bad prediction (or good enemy prediction) can leave you with no wall. I have a mantine special wall which I love to bits and haven't seen anyone else use yet, but I usually end up putting him in my team, then at the last minute switching him out for something else because of the ever present stealth rock issue.

Weezing's strength is a resistance to both Fighting and an immunity to Ground, though.

Plus, with Will O' Wisp, it takes even LESS damage, and Pain Split works very well coupled with its relatively low HP total.

Yes, it has poor Sp.DEF. But someone was asking about a physical wall that resists Fighting and Ground, and possibly Rock. If you want more of an all-round wall that fits the bill, look at Claydol. Resists Fighting and Rock (Ground/Psychic type), immune to Ground (Levitate) can Rapid Spin, set up Stealth Rock, and has access to a bunch of attacks both physical and special. Lacks recovery, but it fits the bill in every other way.
