I actually don't drive like a teenager anymore so I guess saying sleeper isn't allowed. It's just nice to have the v6 power without the body kit
Dear satan I wish for this or maybe some of this....oh and I'm a medium or a large.
It's pretty much a roll of the dice every time, not exactly a safe idea. That said, google your town and car auction and you should find a couple.
Try and find ones that have dealer-days where only dealers can bid, that way you know they have a half decent reputation, pretty much all you can ask for cause when you buy a car on auction, you buy it as is and any problems are "Welp it's your own damn fault for bidding on it."
Oh it should also have a place where you can get it safetied and e-tested nearby, unless you have a way of moving the car without driving it, cause fuck paying tow-trucks.

Find the one that handles credit repossessions. Those are always good for a laugh.
And a dozen boats and RVs.
And once a dump truck.
Alright, once I get back to the states I am fucking driving straight down to Atlanta so I can give you a ginormous hug.
Rumor has it, this is what it might look like

and While thats nice I would rather have better simulation physics employed. I want a more realistic driving experience, not just driving super shiny hot Wheels.
Also car guys, I'm looking to pick up a mid 90's jeep cherokee. Want to get the 4.0 straight 6 and use it as my light offroading / quad hauling rig. Can a cherokee pull a small trailer with 2 quads and supplies on it? I would think so.
If you are going to rent a car, these are the ones to rent.
Of course every time one of them gets returned they have to be taken on a road test. You know, to make sure that they drive safely
its a v6! but yet has 300HP. makes a man weep. One does not want a pony car, but 300hp is not something to sneeze at, especially with the price difference between the standard car and the GT.
Yes.
I owned a 98 Wrangler with that s6 and I loved that engine.
Actually I loved that entire bullet-proof motherfucking rock of a vehicle.
Almost 10 years, and all I ever had to do was change the oil, the tires, and the wiper blades.

Even with just the V6 it is a really really fun car to drive. Sure it might not be the fastest thing out there, but that just means you won't be the one getting the ticket. I can't help but grin while driving it, and there are very few cars in our rental fleet that can do that (the few others are: Mazda3 Hatch, VW Passat, Nissan Xterra/Titan mainly because they make me feel like a boss)
From a styling stand point they got it right too, at least for the front of the car. It looks so fucking menacing
The rear still needs some work though, but it's better than the late 90's versions
As much as I hate to plug a JP magazine article here you go.
A good basic guide to buying a cherokee. Although for both towing and off roading purposes I would suggest looking for a late 80's cherokee with a Dana 44 rear, it really is worth it
I am also going to recommend you look at a Nissan Pathfinder instead. Out of the box the pathfinders have bigger tires for off roading, 31x10.5's were a factory option and will fit on stock ride height. Stock pathfinder gearing is also much lower than stock gearing on a Cherokee, which is great for off roading and towing. They are extremely reliable, my 1988 Pathfinder has 266,000 miles on it on the original engine. It doesn't burn a drop of oil, and only has a very very slow leak from the rear main seal. The transmission finally gave though, but at 266k I think it's had a very good run. Also you have the benefit of not being just another jeep.
The main downsides though are: less power. 86-90 Pathfinders only made 145hp and 180lb/ft. 90-95 Pathfinders made 153hp and 180lb/ft. The automatic also suffers from a bad internal transmission cooler which has resulted in the deaths of many a pathfinder transmission (including mine). It's a pretty easy fix though, just install an external transmission cooler and completely disconnect the stock one. The final major downside is a weaker aftermarket, but the few companies that do make parts are competitively priced.
The Cherokee should be able to handle your quads, and the 4.0 is a dang beast of a motor
Just be sure to check it over well, a good lot of the older Cherokees are pretty tired by this point

Parts out the ass for that thing if it ever does happen to break. I have a buddy who is a serious car nut, like builds his own cars and such, and will drag him along with me to any jeeps I might go look at. I'll look at the late 80s versions for the better rear end. I won't do much off roading with it, but every little bit helps. Most I'd probably do is take it out on the dunes occasionally.

You got me all excited there thinking that the Abarth had hit US shores. When's that scheduled to happen?
I don't even think the dealerships have been set yet. They better get on that, since the standard 500s should be arriving soon

In other news, GT5 apparently has the Top Gear test track in it (and the Stig)

The interior is completely awesome and completely unpractical.
I drove my piece of shit around like a retard this weekend and it was awesome
Except that it has
260 HP
that is a large number, in a tiny car
what is this, autox in the LA aqueducts?? :^:
You've never sat in a 500 have you?
Or really any recent higher end "economy" car.

Also kind of missing the whole point of souped-up superminis...

I'm looking at that interior
at that picture, like right now
it is something akin to alcantara stretched thinly over hard plastic
When we get the upscale (Abarth) 500 here, go sit in one. Maybe drive one. The interior is awesome
also t spono: it looks like you're about to flip that little car! Looks like fun. I can't wait to get my SPG fixed and get her out on a course
